I don't like mice or rats in the house. But that looks like a healthy one.
A cat adopted us so i got her fixed and vaccinated. no rodents because she comes and goes.
Since we got Dukie Dog she no longer comes in the back yard. When we first saw her she was sneaking dog food from Sasha's bowl.

We should help you name him. Besides burnt toast, raisin, spiced rum, I am at a loss for names to go with oatmeal.

I found a mouse in the basement a few months ago. I got our cat, who usually isn't allowed in the basement, and tried to have her hunt it. She was terrified.

I remember when I was in Haiti 15 years ago, a mouse tried to get in the bed with me. When we first got down there, the house we were to stay in had been vacant for a while so we cleaned a lot of rodent and roach poop out of a lot of places. Once someone brought a cat down (who just did pass away a couple years ago, ripe old age of 16) it was supposed to take care of the mouse problem. It did, eventually, but not in the first week. We would lie awake at night and listen to them scurrying on the floor or chew on some plastic bag or something. The night that one tried to get in the bed was one very long sleepless night.

Yours is a little cuter than my bed buddy, Poi.

That brought flashbacks of the time I had a rat living in my dresser. I was in high school. I would hear it crunching on stuff at night. It ate my Helen Grace Candies I was supposed to sell for my school and about half the particle board on the back of one of the drawers. I never knew where it was during the day. Therefore, my reaction is much like Esme's even though that critter doesn't look the least bit threatening.

However, I really don't mind spiders and snakes. As long as they don't bite me, I actually like them.

My grandma said to keep rats and mice out of the bed put the legs of the bed in empty tuna cns 1/2 filled with kerosene.
    I'd rather have a cat.
