High-risk pregnancy and full-time job?

Has anyone on here been considered a 'high-risk' pregnancy and continued to work a full-time job? I'm currently working 3 12-hour shifts (7p-7a) on a busy, high stress tele unit with NO techs, and it's really taking a toll on me, physically and mentally. I am considered a high-risk pregnancy, due to a history of recurrent miscarriages and a clotting disorder - just for the record. I ended up in the hospital one night last week, due to extreme dizziness, light-headedness, tachycardia, palpitations and a pounding headache. All of my tests came back normal - H&H, thyroid, EKG, blood sugar, orthostatic blood pressures, fluids and lytes. Both my NP and the ER doc told me to take some time off work. Since all of my tests came back fine, they assumed my symptoms were related to the stress of the job and sleep deprivation. Here's my question: Would I be out of line to ask my doctor to put me on a work restriction? Maybe instead of working 3 12-hour shifts per week, I could cut down to 2 12-hour shifts a week. I'd still be able to keep my health insurance. I'm concerned about my health and, of course, the health of my unborn child. I really don't know what else to do. Thoughts?
