1. Has anyone ever been on Zoloft and quit it? I'm thinking of tapering off. Any withdrawl while doing this? I don't take it for depression, just some anxiety I was going through a while back due to sister's death.

Kayzee, I took it several years ago, no problems tapering off. You can PM me if you want.

Zoloft...yes. I have an on-again/off-again relationship with it. I never had any withdrawal symptoms. Although my cuz took it and it made her have weird hallucinations (like the curtains melting down the wall, and she also wrecked her car due to misjudging the road). I would check with your doctor 1st. It never affected me like it did her. No, she wasn't drinking or taking any other drugs. FYI.
Also, Zoloft comes in a panic kit that you take for 3 weeks. You taper up from 25 mg to 50 mg and then you taper down. Check with the Doc.

I switched from Zoloft to Paxil over night with no problems...I know they are similar but I have not heard of withdrawl (UNlike Paxil)...still, save yourself some potential misery (Paxil withdrawl SUCKS) and check with your doctor

My hubby takes Zoloft. Took Paxil (too many SE) and switched overnight w/ no problem. Will have to go on something else b/c our insurance just booted Zoloft off of our formulary.
