our 10 Year Anniversary was in 2000...
My husband and I decided to go to an Embassy Suites Hotel! My parents took the kids for the weekend! We stayed inside the hotel and canoodled and ordered Room Service for most of the weekend! We did catch a movie, and dinner, and then went back to the hotel . He gave me a wonderful gift!
It was simple but it was great to just spend some time with him without the children and the interuptions and just reaquaint ourselves again.... talk, hang out, cuddle, it was perfect!

Our 10th was really special, but totally unplanned. We were married on the beach just the two of us by a minister, quite wonderful, just what we wanted.
10 years later we were in England at the Salsibury Cathedral doing the tourist thing. Bumped into (literally) a priest. Got to talking. He asked if we wanted our marriage blessed. Long story short my husband said yes, we renewed our vows in a side abbey at the cathedral. My husband and I were both very moved. Turned out the "priest" was head of the Church of England who just happened to be there for a TV filming. We had just bought my husband a wedding ring for our anniversary, so we got it blessed.
