Your hair

  1. Here is my question. Do you have long hair? What do you use for shampoo and conditioner. My girls hair is thick and long. They have very frizzy hair. i need suggestions. I always thought it was the humidity that did it but I'm not sure. It doesn't matter but their poor hair does need help.
    Thank you

I know what its like from first hand experience I have thick long very curly hair and Its naturally course. I have found that Aussie Moisture shampoo conditioner and leave in conditioner work very well and is somewhat inexpensive I also have found a moisture shampoo from BedHead which works great but its a little expensive.

I try not to wash my hair everyday because it only dries it out more but I always put in a leave in conditioner.

To get rid of the frizz friz-ease works great and so does the Aussie Scruncj Spray Hope this helps I HAVE LIVED WITH THIS HAIR FOR A LONG TIME AND AM STILL TRYING TO COME TO TERMS WITH IT

My hair is short now, but it was long. I use Aveda products. To tame frizzy hair, use the pomade by Aveda. Not only good for the hair, the smell is absolutely intoxicating

I switch up on products occasionally, also whatever I use in the summer doesn't work for me in the winter, and vice versa. :chuckle

Right now I'm waiting for the last drop of L'Oreal to be used up so I can switch to the shampoo I just purchased a week ago which is Tre'semme (sp?) My hair is so thin, it doesn't take but a drop to shampoo it.

Where oh where did my long hair go
The hair that I had many years ago
I've done everything under the sun to my hair
It's no wonder at all that I have little to spare.
    And, to those whose hair has grown scarce and thin;
I'm tired of crying for mine to grow in again.
    So from start to finish,
    It only takes 30 minutes
To shampoo, condition, blowdry, and curl
My thin brown hair I've had since I was a girl. :chuckle

My hair used to be long as well, and am a loyal Aveda product user (except shampoo, I have been using Wella's Lifetex line. The smell of grapefruit is real nice first thing in the AM.

Otherwise, Aveda's Confixor, humectant pomades or this new stuff, ControlPaste, is absolutely wonderful in controlling hair.

Tigi's Shine Junkie also works well. Smells like grapefruit.

VERY thick, curly hair here, I use what ever is on sale that says "damaged, thick, course, curly" hair. I switch frequently which is what the hairdresses recommends.

I have long thick wavy hair, as do my daughters. My eldest swears by "Fruictis" by Garnier for her hair. I usually like to switch after each bottle is finished. I never buy the combined shampoo/conditioners, find they weigh down my hair and leave it greasy. I swear by conditioner and when I want to leave my hair down and it control I use a product called "Sexx Wax" it's a very strong pomade, that allows me to keep the curl without the frizz. I have to admit tho, thru this hot hazy summer, a pony tail has been my best defence.

Aveda is only sold in salons or really ritzy shopping malls.

I only use Matrix products on my hair. They make some awesome products for voluminizing hair down to the root. Namely the Amplify line. I would shave my head bald if they ever quit making that line.

Thick short curly hair here. Use the Loreal curl vive stuff - pretty cheap and seems to be keeping the frizz down since the summer heat has come on.

My sister swears by Pantene. And that girl has some serious curl.
