if the cards beat the sox, does sox's penant mean anything this year? I dont think so because they won the penant in 78 too. it takes forever for them to win any thing

Doesn't mean much except they beat us for a change. They last won the pennant in '86 and blew it against the Mets in the WS with the infamous Bill Buckner play. Believe me, that play and the way the Sox blew that series will last in infamy a lot longer than this loss by the Yanks, even if we blew a 3-0 lead.

I really think the Cards are going to crush the Sox. Pujols, Rolen, Walker, and Edmonds must be salivating at the thought of hitting at Fenway. The Cards' pitching is very underrated. They are easily capable of completely shutting down the Sox lineup.

    GO ST. LOUIS!!!!

Already got my bet on the Sox to win the World Series

Ya know, I'm a ST. Louis fan and I would rather see the Sox win just to shut the Yankees fans up. I saw a sign in the stadium "The Yankess are God's Team" and you know this how?????? I've just had it with the Yankees, all their money and their fans. And Lil' girl...I agree with you about the play the other night.....ridiculous and the way the fans acted was just as bad, if not worse.

I thought that guy from the Yanks that knocked the ball out of the guys hand last nite at first was naughty, naughty, and the NEw York fans didn't behave much better. Sorry if I stepped on toes lil girl
No need to apologize lil girl. I saw that too, and I have been a Yankee fan for 53 years. A lot has changed with that team. When I began watching them, there were players like Whitey Ford, Joe Dimagio, Reggie Jackson, etc. They were a team that really did play baseball the right way. It wasn't all about money back then. However, since George Steinbrenner has taken over as the owner of the team, it has been about money, and that takes the fun out of the game of baseball. That player did cheat, and he tried to get away with it. I applaud the coaches for making the correct decision. Cheating only puts a smear on integrity.

Ari....absolutely NOTHING against you!!!!! I just can't appreciate the way the Yankees fans were treating the players, etc. There are "some" fans out there that are perfectly reasonable, BUT as far as my experience that is the exception. (and you are included in that one)
