woohoo! My back is better!

  1. Ok, I'm not totally pain free, but I can *move*. I can sit! I can walk!

I finally caved and called my dr on Thursday, he prescribed an NSAID and a muscle relaxant and called them in for me. I was skeptical about the relaxant as I tend to have a high tolerance for those meds but when I took the first one, I got so sleepy and I dozed for the evening. Then, I went to bed and slept like a rock - highly, highly unusual for me.

I would have slept in, but I had an appointment to interview a dr for an article so I hauled myself out of bed, tender back and all. I didn't dare take one of the relaxants but the pain wasn't as severe as the day before. Anyway, I took one when I got home and dozed the day away. Another one before bed and I slept *all* night. I never sleep all night. Only had to get up once at 7 to let the dog out.

    Pharmaceuticals are my friend. :heartbeat

I only have to go back to work on Monday night so hopefully this will all be a distant memory by then.

    Great news, Clemmers !

Back injuries can be soooooooooooooo painful. I just recently had one myself. No muscle relaxer could have helped that one.. it was in the vertebrae. Mine's all better now, too.

So get out of that rocking chair now and get back to your spunky, productive self !!!
