WOO HOO! My car is back!

  1. Just sharing with you my happy news

My car was stolen yesterday from my local shopping mall....just 3 days after I moved here Welcome to the city hehe

Good news is it was found at 1.30am in another mall only 10 mins down the road, only door lock and ignition damage.

I am waiting for the crime scene police to come fingerprint the car...I feel like we are in an episode of NYPD Blue lol

It was such a feeling of invasion and that impact a stranger can have on your life. But I did try to focus on the positives that worse things happen to people and that we are all safe and healthy. What a feeling of relief though, to have it back. My 11 year old was crying last night..."that car took us so many places", it was so sweet.

So a big thankyou to QLD police and the security patrol...recovery in under 12 hours!

Sorry to ramble....had to tell everyone

glad you got your car back.

this is just pondering out loud thoughts....why would someone take a car only to go a few blocks down the street knowing it will be seen? okay, maybe i do know the answer already.

aus, I just KNEW my man Thomas could help you out with your problem! Just by the size of his BELT, I know he's a force to be reckoned with!

Glad you got your wheels back, kiddo. Now come chat with me when you're done with your shower hey!

In this part of the northwest they are now called "Meth Taxis".

The dopers will steal a car where they are at, use it to get to a place to buy more drugs, and then steal another to get back home.

One of the prime areas lately for car thefts has been around our two largest hospitals. Which makes since, if you can't take time to pee, how will you ever be able to check on your car!!

If I remember right, there were over 80 cars stolen in less than a week just a couple of weeks ago.

Time to put a hidden cutoff switch in mine!!

ALL RIIIIIGHT!! I'm so glad you got your car back; and I bet it was that charming Thomas who found it for you, huh?

I've got to hang a few doors before I can come and chat, though (DH is making me put our kitchen back together again, and he is such a slave-driver!).....

Apparently another car same make and model as mine was stolen from the carpark where mine was found. Probably not that long after mine was stolen either.

So it paid to have a travelling rubbish heap with a near empty petrol tank and no valuables like a CD player. See i knew I could rationalise neglecting my car

LPN Jenny and Julie thank you for your gladness.

Bob yep I am now getting a steering lock, kill switch and alarm light. Hope your car stays safe

Ats, do you think this warrants a return trip to the cop shop to thank your man Thomas in person? OK OK I will take the cam

Yikes!......No where near that den of expatriate Californians who only think about their SUV's (that never see dirt) and what flavor coffee to get in the AM (the most work many of them seem to do).

I am at the other side of the state, called the Inland Northwest (Spokane), so that we won't be confused with the other ones!!
