Wish Me Luck!

  1. Hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years now to no avail. So, I finally decided to stop procrastinating. Went to see a new OB/GYN last Thursday who specializes in infertility. Told him my history (I have PCOS). He wanted to check some labs, specifically a fasting glucose and insulin level to see if I am diabetic and hormone levels, FSH, LH, TSH, prolactin, hydroxyprogesterone, testosterone and anti-thyroid antibodies. If I am diabetic, then I may also need to take glucophage.

Had to fast last Fri at work for 8 hours. Lab drew 6 tubs of blood. Anyway, the doctor gave me a script for clomid, which I started yesterday. 50mg daily for 5 days on days 5 thru 9 of my menstrual cycle. Rather than checking my basal body temp, I got one of those OTC ovulation predictor kits which Doc said to check on Day 10 which would be Saturday. If it's positive? If not, then with my next cycle, he'll increase my dose of clomid to 100mg.

Please pray that this works as I so desperately want a baby (or two ) Clomid increases the chances of twins you know!

    Thanks all!
