Unfortunately, when it rains it always seems to pour hail and brimstones in our lives. I haven't even filed my taxes yet because I think I'm going to owe instead of receive this tax year.

I got absolutely killed on taxes this year...I got married, we knew we might take a hit so we bought a house..well, I guess that our incomes are too high and we jumped a tax bracket (which is sad since I make more than he does and I'm only 1.5 years out of school)...I was told by the guy that did out taxes that we make too much...what?? I don't feel that way...
So anyway, now not only do we have to pay a heap of $$, that front and back yard we were going to put in has to wait...so I hear ya...

Happystudent, the same thing happened to me today! My mother in law, who lives RIGHT NEXT DOOR, comes over this afternoon and goes, "oh, I noticed that the light was on in your car last night. Did you ever cut it off?" UMMM, Hello, NO, because we didn't know it was on! So we had to buy a new battery, and since our 3 year old car is a fastly deteriorating pile of junk, we will need to buy a new alternator soon. DANG! I was looking forward to actually HAVING some money in the bank for once!

Here's to hoping to get things worked out and to keep some money to use as we please soon!

Money in the bank?? What's that?? This tax year, I have a daughter's school trip, plumbing bills, house insurance, and car tags to pay for. But I guess I should be happy that I have a daughter, indoor plumbing, a house, and a car!! It's all in how you look at it, I guess.

Y'all don't want me to get started! First, I was working on a job where I could not pay my utility bills. One of my previous contractor called me back to do some work paying $15,000 more a year! Great, right?! Well, the first paycheck I had to catch up on utility bills if I did not want to sit in the dark and cold. 2nd pay check, the transmission pan cracked and some heat regulator between trans. & radiator, $500. 3rd paycheck, a water line is leaking somewhere on my property; water bill went from $25 to $160! Guess what, I have even received the 3rd check yet!

Oh yea, called campus where I am to attend nursing school, campus apartment, $900/mo!!!!!!!!!

I miss my tax return this year! Oh well, I guess I can't complain about having to pay $1500 or so in since I got a new vehicle out of it! LOL

:angryfire Boy do I feel your pain. I got a $600.00 refund. Prior to that I go to the shop to get a routine check and then get hit with a $900.00 bill. Goodbye refund and then some.

I'm too chicken to file my taxes for fear of what I will owe! Stalling until the last minute in case I owe more than I can pay right now.

Let's look at it as a blessing. Thank God it was there! Without it we would be hurting.

Within the last 13 months.....I had a baby, DH had back surgery, I had a breast reduction, and DD had T&A. All with crappy insurance. We've been turned over to 2 creditors, AND I was making a monthly payment. Albeit, $10/mo each. But, it was something... The tax money paid off ALL of the Dr's bills. The hospital takes $50/check out, so NO MORE CREDITORS. YEAH!!!!!!!
