why dating sucks!

  1. Ok, this is it. I'm so through.

Chick: total fatal attraction. Calls everyday, leaves notes on my car (how f*cked up is that?), sends flowers....

Dude #1: lives with his parents, has a sucky job but is really funny and cool to be around. He wants an 'exclusive' relationship with me.

Dude #2: engineer, own apartment, nice car, good cash flow, great vocabulary (I'm all about the vocabulary)... but he's irritating as all get out. Really clingy. Already proposed marriage with a 3 carat rock. Wha??

Dude #3: workaholic (some government thing), runs with rescue squad, he's so short I could almost eat a bowl of cereal off his head. He can work it out, though. He has the coolest name of them all, and he drives a Saab, but he is crazy committed to his work schedule and I can't stand to have a long conversation with him.

The funny thing is, I can't stand any of these people for long periods of time with the possible exception of Eric, dude #1. However, I'm not physically attracted to him.

This is entirely TOO much drama for me.

    Dating sucks!

    Where's the love?

I feel like an episode of Seinfeld with a neverending stream of extremely flawed love interests....

    How does that song go?

Your just too good to be true....
Cant keep my mind off of you....

The whole situation is just ridiculous. I don't think dude #2 likes women all that much, either. I get a weird vibe from him at times. Not like I'm physically threatened, just maybe not as egalitarian as I would like.

If only I could take a little bit from each and build the perfect person for me.

    Hey can I do that?

Like building a shark on the discovery channel?

I don't know how you keep them straight, WOW !!! About 100 years ago when I was a teenager I dated 2 guys at the same time, much too confusing for me. Oh well, have fun sorting them out, LOL !!!

Sounds like it may be time to wipe the slate clean and just start over. Good luck.

I find it somewhat funny that even with the option of both genders, ya still can't find someone normal.

Personally, I like dude #2 with the exception of proposal so early.

Whoa Susy.... you're on a roll today! :chuckle

Seriously, that's an excellent point. Most of us don't have half as many options as you do.

I'm miserable, Heather, that's why I'm on a roll. But that's another thread.

Hey - went out with BOB last night. Since Vegas has refused him, maybe Rebecca should meet him?

Maybe the old lines 'when you least expect it' or 'when you're not looking Mr/Ms Right appears' apply...not that I buy into that but supposedly it works :chuckle

Really though, at least someday you can look back and have a laugh at what a terrible problem this was

#2 sounds too possessive, & flashing rocks is not the way to most girl's hearts...but maybe if he was made aware of the pushiness?...#1 sounds like the most normal person...maybe he needs to made aware that you're looking for someone a little more independent? It's actually not a problem, it's kind of fun scrutinizing...but hey it's not my life though!
