Who thinks the east coast will experience a baby boom about Thanksgiving....

  1. Feeling a little ornery today....

Just thinking about the big storm out east and wondering if there will be a baby boom about Thanksgiving time? Lots of people stranded at home out there.... Hmmmm....time will tell....:roll

Better not be. Y'all should be out shoveling all this crap instead of getting busy in the bedroom!

My mom said to me yesterday on the phone "enjoy the snow day, you know what happens about 9 months after a big storm". Yeah, thanks mom. Not to worry!

I read due to the economy and worries over the future (war etc) birth rates are expected to be quite LOW in the next 18 mo or so. It's already started, our birth rates are down in both hospitals where I work..we are taking surgical patients on our floors as a result. They say the trend is going to continue thru the foreseeable future. Better brush on my med-surg skills, I guess.

I won't contribute to the baby boom, that's for sure. But it's not from a lack of 'practice'. haha.

Thinking about all that snow is making me jealous. Em was conceived in a blizzard (home under the covers though....). Maybe I'll get preggers d/t your snowstorm. Keep your fingers crossed...

    Interesting Deb.

I myself plan on venturing back into substance abuse nursing. And by the time census drops off that much, I'll probably just drop back to per diem at the hospital, and taking a position at the treatment center I'll be interviewing at this week.

I'm burnt out on something. Hospital nursing or OB? I dunno. But something's gotta give.

Didn't mean to take this thread on such a glum turn.....

Sorry to hear that Heather, but it's great that you have other options. Good luck on your interview this week!!! Let us know how it goes.

If you get it, will you change your name to SubstanceAbuse/TreatmentCenterPerDiemNurseHeather?
