Who dances here?

  1. Anyone who dances here wanna share what they dance and why they like it?

I did jazz-ballet till highschool when running took that out of me. I think I'm going to go back and take adult lessons now that I'm grown and I remember how much I enjoyed it when I was little. Dancing makes me so happy .

I've watched people do salsa and tango but I don't really like learning styles that are meant to be done only with a partner. Its funner to learn things you can do by yourself, I think.

Do you dance and what style do you dance and what styles are your favorite and why?

There are no rules that say you have to do Salsa with partner, or any dance for that matter. :chuckle

I love to dance, but was a aerobic dance instructor for seven years prior to nursing and while going to school, and for some reason that has made me somewhat mechanical. I have rhythm, but always look like an athlete. hmmmm? So I settle for dancing alone in the privacy of my home, no particular style, but lots of movement.

One of my fantasies is to go out where no one knows me and let loose.

I love to line dance, but don't know many. I would really like to find a place around here that gives lessons and find a friend that is interested to go with me.

I went to a performing arts high school, and was a dance major...ballet, modern, jazz etc. we did it all. I still take ballet classes to stay in shape, and I also enjoy bellydancing.

I studied dance for 15 years. Studied jazz, ballet, tap and lyrical. I've danced all over the country and in other countries! I loved it and I miss it every day! I keep telling myself that I want to get back to it before I get too old for it!

My daughter, sister-in-law, niece and I all clogged together, had to give it up because of a job and with my daughters migraines she couldn't stand the sound. Niece stopped but my sis-in-law is still at it over 4 years now. I enjoyed it but no time cause my nose if always in a textbook (sigh) someday my chance to have a life again will come

    Ice dancer here

Ballet, tap, jazz, modern & lyrical as a child. I love dance in all its forms - moving to music is so therapeutic.

Hubby and I have taken lessons a little over two years now - it's great We do waltz, foxtrot, samba, swing, salsa, mambo, hustle, cha-cha, merengue, rumba, bolero (no tango.) We are at lessons or groups or out somewhere dancing most every day. It's been such a joy to see my hubby (who initially went to humor me) just absolutely fall in love with it.
