Just proof that reasonable minds and common sense are getting rarer and rarer.

I have to say I am disgusted that veterans benefits are being cut the way they are. It is the main reason I get so offended when people say that protestors are not supporting the military. Have they looked at the man in the white house?

We are all under a lot of stress now.

Today is the 35th anniversary of the death of Martin Luther King Jr. One year earlier at the Riverside Church in New York on April 4, 1967 he said,
"I am dissapointed in America. There can be no great dissapointment without a great love."
It was an anti Viet Nam war sermon.

About the county rehab hospital. There is mention of immigrants, but the VA sends patients there too.
I get to take in books and videos. One young veteran who served in peace time was hit by a car. He likes the same fiction novels as me so gets first dibs on them.
Thank you Representative Drier (R) for helping get federal funds! Thanks to the voters for giving ourselves a tax increase!
It is a temporary reprieve. We need to work on improving healthcare for the entire USA and the world.

How is the healthcare in your community?

See now I am just waiting for a radical peace activist or proIraqi invasion person to say "OK, all of you marching against/in support of the troops and this war, will you also march against cuts to veteran benefits, or don't you really support the troops?" I am shocked it's taking so long

How could you have missed it? LOL!! It seems like every discussion on the topic of Iraq somehow boil down to "We are better Americans than you and we support the troops and you don't" from each side. I just shortenned the trip.

So am I epg_pei (I live in Ontario, but am a dual citizen). Once you've been through the posts on the war terrorism discussion for a while you'll probably see what I mean. There have been a lot of cheap shots lately which generally involve questionning someone's patriotism.
