When you pray for a miracle, expect one!!!!!

  1. Many prayers have been prayed on behalf of my DH, who was scheduled for surgery today. The ultrasound revealed bilateral inquinal hernias and hydroceles. Not a simple surgery. So, imagine my shock when 30 minutes after hubby goes into surgery the doctor comes out and says, I don't know why, but there are no hernias present and on the right hydrocele we removed 20 ounces of fluid and on the left 4 ounces. He's in recovery and will be out soon, he's already awake and asking for coffee. I was speechless and I think the doc was too. Within the hour, we were back in his room, IV DC'd and he was dressed and ready to leave. I drove us home and he said, scoot over, I want to go pick up our pay stubbs and get my pain med. So he drove and then I finally got him home, undressed with icepacks in place and a pain pill down and tucked into bed for a while. I just had to share this wonderful day with all of you. no one will ever make me believe that prayer doesn't change things. With no health insurance, this will be so much cheaper and not to mention a much less recovery time. The doc says he can go back to work Monday if he thinks he can handle it. There's no lifting involved and everyone has already stated they'll push his med cart for him, so we'll just have to wait and see. Thank you all for your prayers and I sorta think God did this to teach me a lesson. I have awful problems with my nerves, take frequent meds just to cope, well, I was getting so stressed out about all of this and I think God was just proving to me that all I had to do was believe in the first place and it would be fine. Lesson well learned God and all I can humbly say is thank you!!!!! Duckie
