What's Your New Year's Resolution?

  1. So, what's your New Year's resolution? And please, don't tell me you want to lose weight. We all do! Does anyone have any interesting, quirky, offbeat resolutions?

Mine are somewhat boring to other people...learn to crochet (i have been knitting for 40 years and want to expand my abilities) and on that same line learn to knit socks. I also have a bookshelf crammed full of snapshots from the last 5+ years and have vowed to spend at least one hour a week getting the sorted and placed in albums, including the album I bought for that purpose about 4 years ago!

Actually, I have a box of photos I need to organize too! I know you're supposed to use acid-free photo alblums or something for the best photo preservation, but I really don't know anything about this. Any suggestions?

    # 1. Eat more healthy (if you looked at my previous post you will see I stuffed 10 caramel chocolates this weekend... so there is only one way to go and that is up)... and then I will loose weight!

    # 2. I too have pictures I have been wanting to put into an album.... I like those sticky sheets so you can put odd sizes in em... is that the acid paper you see being warned against? Gee.. I kinda like the yellow tinge...

Seriously, got a photo printer to match my digital camera.. so have lots of lovely new lovely photos to put up... If it says acid free then it is safe... right?

    # 3. Start my own nursing business and self contract

My New Year's resolution is going to be to spend more time with my daughter. Nursing school has taken so much of my time that I have tended to put off doing fun things with her, so she is moving back up to the top of my list. I may not always get an A or a B in my classes, but that's okay......as long as I pass with a C I'll be just fine.

Also, I know everyone always wants to lose weight as a resolution, but for reasons of my health I have to LOSE weight this year. I have been sick for the past few days....although it is not the best way to start a weight loss plan, I can guarantee that if I stepped on the scale I would be a few pounds lighter from lack of eating!

My new years resolution, is to try and stop loosing weight!! I now this sounds very strange, all through sixthform I struggled to loose any weight, so in the end I thought stuff it! I'll be this shape for ever.

But... now I have started nursing School, and am working shifts, and have a hectic timetable, the weight has just dropped off of me. I have not missed that many meals so please no lectures on eating disorders, I am hardly a twig, and never will be, I just don't want to loose any more weight as I can not afford to replace my whole wardrobe!

Then again I got a whole load of Chocolate for Christmas, so my resoloution shouldn't be that difficult to keep

My New Years resolution will be to try to be more patient with some of the less then efficient folks that I work with.
These are not new nurses, just ones that do as little as they have to in their 8-12 hrs.
Been very frustrating working lately and just trying not to blow up will be hard enough. God give me strength.

My resolution is to have more fun this year! Seriously, I spent 2000 working night shift. I spent alot of my days off sleeping during the day and watching crappy TV shows at 4 am. I'm switching to rotating day shift. I hope I can do some hiking and get into New York City on my days off.

I pray to God to give me more tolerance, more time for my family and myself, to stay healthy and to clip my skalpell-like-tongue (so called by collegues and friends).
I don't have to lose weight, I don't want to have more neither and I don't want to start smoking again. (it's been over 3 months since I stopped now)

I want to see and live more fun things and have good laughs!!

    Take care, Renee

My New Years resolution is to renew my license early.
