What's your favorite hand lotion?

  1. Since we are ALWAYS washing our hands and/or using hand gels, it is very drying on the skin. With winter weather dry hands are REALLY a problem. What is your favorite hand lotion to keep your nursing hands supple and soft? I like Equate Advanced Healing from Wal-Mart. It is cheap, works good, and I don't feel bad when I have to apply it about 100x's a day!

Curel lotion. Does a great job without making my hands feel like they are slick and greasy.

For everyday use and before I go to bed I like Neutrogena's hand lotion. It comes in a little plastic tube/bottle. It only takes a little dab to cover your whole hand. It's between 4-5 dollars a bottle but I have one that has lasted almost a whole year and I use it just about everynight.

If my hands get really bad with cracking and cuts I use medicated Eucerin that comes in a small "tub". I use it at night before I go to bed and usually put cotton gloves over it as it is pretty sticky. But, I'll wake up the next morning and most of the cuts and cracks will be completely healed. Can't beat it.

I was in a drug store last year, and my eye was caught by something called "Crack Creme". Hmmm... what the h*ll could that be, I thought. Turns out it's hand lotion for cracked hands, which I always have in the *******' winter.

A year later, I still have the little tube. You just need a dab. And it smells good--like cloves or something. Everyone makes fun of me because I show it to everyone!! haha

My latest favorite is grapeseed oil body butter from the Body Shop. Light scent, doesn't stay greasy and keeps my skin really moist.

I use Avon hand moisturizer, get it every year as a Christmas gift from my sister, it lasts forever so I usually still have some left over each year.

I like to sleep with cotton gloves on overnight and a liberal coating of A&D ointment.

Curel moisture therapy (unscented), Aveeno lotion with menthol, Avon Sillicone glove. Sometimes when it's really bad, I'll mix one of the above with vaseline.

Any kind of baby lotion. Just for the smell of it. Walmart's brand is good. It's cheap and it smells great!
