What the ???????? Why shouldn't he speak Spanish as long as he is not speaking to one of the teachers? Where do they get off having a law like that in the first place? Unbelievable.

I'm just relieved it's not Georgia for a change.

Fergus, I know! It has to be in my top five favorite books this year. The author is a professor at my school.

For the same reason that nurses aren't allowed to speak a common non-english language to each other in work areas: it's divisive.

I don't think it's divisive and our nurses do sometimes speak to eachother in a language other than english in work areas. It isn't a big deal at all unless you think they are talking about you .

Plus, didn't this happen in a hallway?

What's the matter with Kansas? It might have something to do w/ the fact that it holds the views of the average and growing majority of Americans. That's a problem if you hold a different view.

I've scanned the book and heard the author several times on the radio. It's a feel good book aimed at the Left to discount the people that disagree with them.

It's cool: the Right does the same thing.

Just don't be deluded into thinking the book is factual instead of propaganda.
