What's a good b'day present for a guy?

  1. Hi all,
I have been going out with a guy for [only] two months and need to buy him a b'day present soon.
Any ideas...he's 51 [but seems younger] likes food and wine, skiing, surfing.
What do you get a guy when it's only been a few months but want to get something meaningful?
    Thanks, Zig.

How about a food and wine hamper and a rug - then go on a picnic and share the experience with him

Gift certificates to his favorite store/outlet. That way, he can pick himself, what he likes. You can STILL do the picnic thing, too, for romance!

I think the picnic idea is a good one.........when you get over 40, you can usually buy what you want........well that was my theory but its not working!!

Greet him wearing next to nothing and have a dinner of either steak or pizza and cold beer prepared. That's all a caveman like me would need or want, and would definetly make my b-day a memorable one. Just a suggestion.

I like the picnic idea too. Also, check your local newspapers..usually starting in June...there are wine festivals...at least in my area they are starting now. The festivals that I have been to offer wine tasting, great food & good music as well...jazz/blues/swing.

How about buying him an experience, such as a massage, or if he isn't that type of person then maybe maybe a skydiving certificate? heheh Or even a winery tour, or mystery flight, or some tickets for you both to see something, or anything that is nice and that you love doing, but don't necessarily treat yourself to it. I suggested a facial to my boyfriend once ( just to see his reaction) and he was all for it. It was wonderful time together, just like having going to have your hair done with a close girlfriend.
Good luck - wonderful idea's peoples!!
