What would you do with a million bucks?

  1. I would 1. Payoff my mortgage
    2. Pay off my nursing loan
    3. Take a loooong vacation at a 5 star hotel and spend most days at the hotel spa.
    and help my church.

    How 'bout you?....

    1. Pay off all debts including my son's college loans.

    2. Buy a house out in the country where we could have my daughter's horse
    and maybe farm a little.

    3. Quit my job and become a missionary nurse. Travel.

    4. Help folks anonymously.

Tithe to our church (they might not know what to do with that much money! :chuckle )

    Pay off our mortgage
Set up accounts for our children (for college or homes)
Anonymous donations to people in need
Fix up our house (needs a new basement and new electricity)
    Travel
    Invest for retirement

Officially retire yet continue to work prn on MY terms.

Have my say about issues regarding the many discrepancies and injustices in the world of nursing administration and not have to worry about the consequences.

Pay off the mortgage and make adjustments to the house.

Buy my daughter and SIL a small house with a huge yard or nice piece of property so she can have all the dogs she wants.

Give anonymously (of my time, energy and finances) to worthy causes.

    Visit the Greek Isles.

    Visit Ireland and Scotland.

    Take an Alaskan Cruise.

Go snorkeling off the Coast of Croatia with both my kids.

Visit those regions of this country I have not yet experienced.

Buy a lighthouse on the ragged coast of Maine.

    Travel, travel, travel some more.

Set up SOMETHING for the "elder years" for both me and my sis.

    1. put money aside for my kid's college education

(that gives me around half a million left)

    2. hire someone to bump jnette off since she's setting something aside for her and sis's elders yrs- WE WERE SUPPOSED TO LIVE IN MAINE- WHACK!

    3. pay for my own college education.

wouldn't pay off my house as it's an excellent tax write-off.

    4. donate to a couple of charities near and dear to my heart.

    5. buy a car since tiff is getting mine. :icon_roll

    6. and invest the rest with the help of an honest financial advisor.

You DID note I am purchasing that lighthouse, didn't you?

Who knows what Pati might be doing then.. she could still be swinging from the chandeliers in some dusky bar... :chuckle

But gotta have SOME backup plan for her. A lighthouse with nothing around but the sound of the gulls and crashing waves wouldn't quite be her cup of tea other than an occasional visit.

And you'd LOVE my sis, so you'd let her visit. She'd COOK for us, too ! Man, what a cook !

these dang meds i'm on, i've lost my grip.
actually i find it more realistic patti swinging from the chandelier and accidentallly kicking you out the window. thar she goes..

oh that patti, what are we going to do with her.

why is this amusing me so much?
i mean, this has made my day.....

What I'd do with a million bucks?

Do what I always do with my money - give it to Father

He can do what he pleases with it. Goodness knows it would help him - home loan, car loan, education loan(s) for son#1 and education loan for me!

well I am no where near the altruistic child you are roy. My parents would have to do fine w/o me.

I would use the money to set up funds, investing, for my kids' education/future endeavors.
And build a very simple house on the ocean front here in WA for the dh and me. ( a small a frame)
Give some to a charity (not all mind ya, I am greedy)

The rest, invest to retire in relative comfort.
