what type of pillow do you like for sleep?

  1. It's no secret that I'm a horrible sleeper. The longest I can get a stretch of sleep is an hour or so. I wake up and go back to sleep a minimum of 5 times a night. Not conducive to a good restorative sleep! I've tried everything I can think of, including finding comfortable pillows - a search that has been fruitless up to now.

On the way home from NC this weekend, we stopped at a Hampton Inn and I think I found the perfect pillows. They're so soft and amazingly comfortable. They were a pleasure to lay my head on. And, you can buy them. So, I just ordered two from their website. The were Not Cheap, but what price is a good night's sleep?

I use a neck pillow. Sometimes I just cannot fall asleep in bed; DH likes it too quiet. I can get sleepy in the recliner. I turn on a TV program that has no commercials (the commercials are at a different volume and tend to wake me up) and when I start to doze off, I get up and get into bed.

Sometimes it works. If it doesn't I get up and start over again. Sometimes if it's real bad and I know I'm going to be awake for awhile, I'll go mess around on the computer for awhile till I get drowsy again.

    Good luck with the pillows.

Dormina pillows...at $100 each, they're not cheap either, but I wouldn't trade mine for the world!! They're especially great for side sleepers.

My bed is sooooo comfortable..I hate to get up!!

    Umm a soft one?

Actually, I use two rather cheap and battered pillows, which seems to work for me.

Unless I eat too much at night, in which case it's 3+ pillows and Pepcid, to avoid severe reflux and aspiration pneumonia (or the terrifying sensation of choking).

Flat. The wrench shaped pillow that allows tummy sleepers to not sleep on their faces and create wrinkles.

If I'm awakened after just falling asleep, I never get back to sleep. I've threatened my family with homicide if they come in and wake me up when I must go to sleep early.

I'm a side sleeper; firm pillows with good neck support are a must.

I have a MOGU Titanium pillow right now. It was great when I first got it, but it has flattened considerably after only three months. Now I'm awaiting the arrival of my Bucky Duo (buckwheat and millet) Pillow.
