What special little things do yo do for your Honey, SO, or kids?

  1. I was wondering what we do for our spouses, SO's, or kids to make them feel special. I like to give my DW a foot massage when she's had a rough day.

On really chilly evenings, I like to put a comforter in the dryer for about ten minutes, and then wrap it around her. It feels like the blankets from the warmer in the hospital, only better.

Make hot chocolate for the snow shovellers or snowman creators, and take a glass of ice cold lemonade to the lawn mowers in the summer.

Any other ideas we can share to make our loved ones feel more loved and appreciated?

What a sweetie you are!!!! Hmmm, let's see....I know.....I make my husband feel special by NOT complaining about something and not nagging him.

Sometimes I let her use one of those green scratchers to do the pots and pans. Makes her life easier.
Also I'll buy 16 oz beers so she doesn't have to make so many trips from the fridge to the couch.
Once I changed the toilet paper roll for her.

I buy stuffed bears and place them in spots for my bf to find (he's a bear freak). I send cards in the mail. We both send text messages via our cell phones. He'll send me email love letters - long, in-depth ones. He opens the door for me. We both listen to the other person.... talk and open up. That really makes me feel cared for - that he's willing to share the good and the bad (even though the bad isn't really bad but maybe just that he doesn't have a perfect life) Sometimes when he can't sleep, he'll search the internet for something for me - like info on schools, maybe look for something I need....then he'll email me with the links so when I wake up I see that he took his time to look up stuff for me.

Ok... he's been gone over a week and I miss him......

As for my little boy.... I tell him I'm proud of him when I really am. We play games together. I give him hugs and kisses. I even "wrote" a letter to Santa giving him our phone # so he could call. I don't think I've ever seen my son so excited before!!!!

"Put another log on the fire, cook me up some bacon and some beans, go out to the car and change the tire, wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans....."

Did you write this song too? LOL

    Hey sunnygirl,

When did a rating of PG-13 ever hold on one of these threads?

I knew the risk when I started it

Not quite like like the "What's your favorite meat?" thread, but even the Jesus vs Santa thread wasn't immune

Good answers Rusty. If I drank I'd probably use the bigger cans too

I also make hot cocoa for those shoveling.
I put a funny picture inside lunches with little notes.
I give great massages. Scalp massages are a favorite around here with hot conditioner. It takes about half an hour to complete the scalp treatment!:kiss

Actually, I cover her up with a nice quilt on her favorite couch while I tuck all the kids in and she can laze around.
I bring her coffee to her every morning.
I'll send her an occasional love note with her lunch.
She always has dinner waiting for her when she gets home from work.
