What song puts you in a good mood?

  1. "Twist and Shout"
    by the Isley Brothers

I could be at rock bottom and having one of those days where I would have been better off staying in bed (EVERYTHING going wrong) and it will put a smile on my face for a little while. Must be prozac in those horn section soundwaves.

Bridge Over Troubled Water - Always makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Heard it on the way home from school today and was grinning the whole way.

"Take it Easy"- by the Eagles

"You can be my Yoko Ono" by the Barenaked ladies. It came out when I was much younger and my old bf used to crack me up with it whenever I was cranky.... It's just so funny, I can't help but laugh.

This is funny! I was sooooooooo mad at my husband, it was the birth of my first baby. I had been in labor for 28 hours, and the doc said it was time for the c-section. I was upset, and just scared! My husband, being a music lover, decided to wear headphones in the delivery with me. I thought he needed to be paying attention to ME! Well, I let him know that, but he INSISTED on wearing damn headphones to listen to music. I thought at first it was selfish, then he said he wanted one song to remind him of the birth of his baby girl. He made me listen too. It's- "hope you had the time of your life"- Goodriddence by Green Day. EVERYTIME I hear it, I think about the moment they pulled her from me, her first cry, and the way she looked, like she was covered in mayonnaise. I cry, but that song makes me so happy. It was the best day of my life. Oh, I am thankful now to my husband. HE HE.....

"It's Raining Men!!" By the Pointer Sisters I think??

That song makes me want to run outside without my raincoat NOW!

"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. All I can think about is Kevin Kline dancing down the hall to that song in "In and Out".

"American Pie" by Don McLean. It just reminds me of being young, and how someone at every party would drag a guitar out and we'd end up singing that song.

"Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen, just because it rocks!

Good guess, but the Weather Girls did that song. And I agree, its a great song. Its tied with "I Will Survive" for the best female anthem of all time!
