I always make divinity for my dad. I can never test it to see how it tastes tho.. I think its nasty! I also will probably make peanut butter fudge, and marshmallow fudge. And cherry cheesecake... the refrigerated kind, not the cooked stuff. YUMMMMM

I usually bring a seven layer type Mexican dip tray into work. Last time it looked like someone licked the tray clean Took one to a Christmas gathering last year too-luckily I had leftovers that time-yummy snack!

I love peanut brittle so I think I'll try making some this year. Anybody tried the Girl Scouts peanut squares? I'd love to make those too-easier on the teeth!

My recipe for Peanut Butter Balls is:
    Melt together: l lb. margarine
    2 cups peanut butter
When melted together add: 2 lbs. powdered sugar
    Stir in and let cool.

Roll into small bite size balls.
    In a double boiler, melt:
    1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 oz. parafene (wax)

Dip balls using toothpick into chocolate mixture and drop
onto wax paper until set. Enjoy!
Going to make these chocolate or white-choc dipped pretzel rods, rolled in crushed peppermint candies or red/green holiday sprinkles/shapes.

MMM, I've been thinking about what I'm gonna make for a while now. I always make cut-out cookies with frosting, fudge, peanut butter kiss cookies, choco/caramel/coconut cookies (my FAVORITE) and banana bread. Last year I added coconut bon-bons and they were a HUGE hit. Gotta do those again. Oh, man! I'm reeeaaadddyyy! YUM

Someone please, please tell me. What are buckeyes???

Buckeyes are the same as peanut butter balls, except you leave a small area not covered with chocolate and they look like buckeyes. Real buckeyes are nuts that grow on trees. The state tree for Ohio is the buckeye. I guess that's why we call them buckeyes.
I use 3# of powdered sugar in my buckeyes. So the recipe reads 1#, 2#, 3#. I also get candy coating chocolate form the cake and candy store, so I don't have to use all that wax. Can't be good for ya.....

I'll be making chocolate covered pretzels, peanut clusters, turtles, raspberry cream truffles, chocolate mint melts, almond bark, and buckeyes. And of course the novelty Christmas chocolate lollipops!
