What is your favorite board and/or card game?

  1. I was wondering what kind of board and/or card games everyone enjoys playing. During the winter months, we tend to play games in the evenings and during the snowy, cold, don't dare to go outside days. Plus, my boys are growing up now and games like Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, and Sorry are being played more at our home. So, for those of you who enjoy games, what are your favorites? Mine are:

    1. Pictionary
    2. Trivial Pursuit
    3. UNO
    4. Scrabble
    5. Scattergories

PS- Toys-R-US have buy one, get one free games on sale through Saturday, Oct 19. No limit, either. My SIL and I went the other day and bought several games. The offer is good on games by Parker Brothers, Hasbro, and Milton Bradley. Quite a good bargain if you and your family like board games or if you need some for Christmas gifts!!

My favorite board game is Aggravation, or Monopoly. Don't really play cards, unless you count Solataire on the computer.

I love Monopoly. Whenever I visit my grandparents, I'll play this with them and it'll take DAYS! We just put the entire game into the spare bedroom and continue the game the next day. I may just have to run over to Toys R Us tomorrow.

Heather, I haven't played Aggravation in years!! Used to love that game too! I don't play cards much either unless it UNO. Sometimes play Spoons. My brother-in-law tried to teach me how to play Euchre, but I am too dumb to figure it out!!

I kick butt at Trivia. My memory banks are 90% useless knowledge. I'm too competitive though, so I don't play often. Speaking of cribbage, that word had a whole different meaning when I lived in residence...

Uno, Skipbo, Spoons, Life...want to get the new anniversary edition trivial pursuit. My family are big freaks about playing Rook & a few other games that I'm still learning :chuckle

I'm happiest playing on the computer--you can start a new game whenever you feel like it

Lausana, I just bought the new Trivial Pursuit 20th edition game. It was interesting. Toys-R-Us has it for $29.99 right now. Not sure if that is their regular price or a sale price. Saw the same game in the JCPenney Christmas catalog for $49.99.....

SPOONS! OH MY GOSH I LOVE THAT GAME!

My family used to always play that on the holidays to avoid nodding off after the big meal! I haven't played that in years! I get so excited (screamin and hollering) when I play!

Yatzhee is a fun game. We also do Monopoly, Parchesi, Sorry! Chinese checkers....and cards.

700 Rummy, Gin rummy, go fish, double solitaire--wish I could remember how to play canasta and cribbage.

....unfortunately, no one will play word games like scrabble or boggle with me anymore..... ... they say it's useless to try; I tell them they're just poor losers

Dominoes.....looks like a very simple game, but there are many strategies to it. I love to watch my kids/grandkids play spoons with my SIL's family during the Holidays. So much yelling and scrambling, it's great. We also play Euchre quite a bit.
