What is your favorite book?

  1. I love pretty much anything written by sidney Sheldon. I do love Harry Potter as well. My kids got me hooked. I also love reading The Thorn Birds, although I'm not so sure who wrote it. What your favorites? I am always looking for a good book to read.

The Bible, of course! (The Author's a Friend of mine )
I also like John Grisham books (reading The Chamber now--about the death penalty--it's great!), and many others too numerous to mention.

Actually, I like to read self-help books, inspirational books, nonfiction books, biographies, and above all others....The Holy Bible. I journal a lot, too, as well as write manuscripts, poetry, prayers, and inspirational short stories. :kiss

John Grisham, Johanna Lindsey, Kathleen Woodiwiess (probably not spelled right), and Stephen King. Anything they write, I will read and love!

Don't have time for them lately... too busy with school!

All things Stephen King. Although I have been on strike until he finishes the Dark Tower series. He is really pissing me off right now. We were left on a frickin' train for 4 years, now I completely forgot where we left off 5 years ago and now I'm going to start with the first book again to get the whole series fresh in my mind again.
He should know not to make we nurses mad.

I enjoy many of the self-help, feel good books. "The 100 Simple Secrets Of Happy People" being one....

Grisham, Koontz... writers of that genre....

John Steinbeck... "The Pearl": taught me to be careful what I wish for... I just might get it...the ways in which greed, changes people. "The Grapes Of Wrath": how people can continue to hold onto their values, even while being put in situations which would cause many to forsake them.

OK I'll admit it... I read the books on Oprah's Book Club list... :chuckle

I read, on average, at least a book (or TWO) a month.... Great escape!!
