    One third of it is declared unsafe for the aid organisations, and Al-qaeda and the Taliban are resurgent along the Pakistan border. Warlords control most of the rest, and the Government almost controls the Capital. Maybe we'll do better for Iraq.

    This is what a lot of people feared. We saw it happen time and agian in africa and parts of Asia with the ending of colonialism and the withdrawing of colonial goverement - it just created an unstable mess that took years to re-build. In the meantime ordinary people suffer. So sad.

    which gave rise to the Taliban
    {people abused by warlords}
