What do you want for christmas???

  1. I want this jacket soooo bad. Hopefully I'll be able to work enough over time to get it lol. I wouldn't mind to have that dudes hair either... I'd look like a spanish fabio.... or (fake spanish accent) Antonio Bandares. :spin:

Btw its a GAP Product RED jacket, so some of the money will go to a good cause even though it still cost 298$... not bad for a leather jacket in my mind... but more than I have to just throw away.

I like to earn the things I want so I always work extra hard for them, even though they might be material things and in the long run important... they are like little presents to myself for not being lazy.

    As for the material...books!

Anarchy, State, and Utopia by Robert Nozick
The Art of the Pre-Raphaelites by Elizabeth Prettejohn

Non-material: I want a good Christmas and a good year. (2005-2007 was hell.) Also, I want to stop being so cynical.

Mmm-hmm. Yep, well, that's about it.

But I'm keeping my expectations low.

Ooh speaking of books. I would LOVE the complete library of Kahlil Gibran.... but for now I'll just have to be satisfied with reading whatever I can online lol.

I want to be loved - plain and simple.

I want to learn to love myself and take care of me.

I want to be with my family again.

    I want this: http://cruises.orbitz.com/b/c/sc.asp...mnirates=false

    A steal at $65,000.

Something more economical: I'd love to spend just one more day at the beach in Coronado, CA. I want to fall asleep with the ocean singing me to sleep like a lullaby.

Oh my, bethin, I wondered why the cost of the cruise was that high!! Can you imagine being on one that long without any work to do??? Not me - I would go crazy, I think!

My own gift requests this year are boring: A clothing rack, because of my limited closet space, a golf umbrella because I lost the one I had, maybe a book or two...

Other than that, I'm pretty much with DG. Funny...years ago my sister surprised everyone by saying that her favorite part of Christmas was going to the Christmas Eve service.

I already have most of what I want, material and otherwise, but would definately want a happier year for my kids. Oh and less cathair. Thanks Santa!!

I think I probably would go crazy. I love to travel, but I've always felt that if I didn't work or do something physical I would go nuts.

My mom and I had planned a month long Mediterrean cruise 2 years ago. Luckily, I got sick and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I say luckily, because I now know after our Miami vacation that I will never be able to go anywhere with my mother again - at least not until menopause has passed.

In the airport and mom is freaking out cause our flight is delayed. By freaking I mean crying. I stay calm. I go to the bar, she asks if I'm happy. I say "no, but if I keep drinking I will be". She wasn't amused.

I put this on my wishlist for this year: http://shopping.discovery.com/product-65954.html

LOL Agent 66 about the cat hair - it's also nice to hear that someone is content for themself.

Joe - also nice to see that someone else has boring, amorphous requests for Christmas too.

I would never say no to jewelry either!

Oh Bethin, we think alike in needing to be useful!

The telescope also seems a bit more reasonable price-wise - I think that would be really fun to explore with.
