Sleep, housework, Laundry, yardwork, watch an occasional movie, cook, play games with my kids. I like to garden and quilt too when I have time.

Hit the water in our boat...or go up to the mountains and play in the snow (in winter).....or hit the ocean beaches......or just sit around and do nothing. (lots of that).... With the kids around, we try to do family things when their dad and i are off....they won't be here forever (at least I think not, lol)....

    Typical day off.
Come home, read newspaper, eat, take pills, look at Board, sleep 4 hours.
Get up, drink a Diet Dew, look at Board, think about going to Walmart. Decide that head feels too dull and tired. Look at Board.
Pop out to the living room to see what program-from-he** daughter is watching today....and gab with her for a few minutes, til she goes out to the porch to smoke.
Look at board. Get another soda.
Around 4:00 I'll get to Walmart and get enough groceries to feed an army, come home and cook--in between checking the Board. We'll have dinner & watch the news (check the Board).
Hubby will come home when I'm in the middle of writing some witty thread to the Board. I find a couple of jokes to make him giggle and forget that he's exhausted. Then I'll flash him a couple of times. He laughs and changes and goes out to smoke while I look at the Board, because I don't want to go smoke and listen to Thunder Classic Rock--my head still feels fuzzy and I don't wanna be too old for Classic Rock (but lately it gives me headaches, really!) So....back to the Board.

Gawd. Maybe I need to turn off the computer for a couple days.....

Well it's 7 am here on Sat morning...will go off to the market this morning to get some fruit, vege etc. The Sat morning market also has a lot of locally made pasta, cheeses, chocolate, crafts etc. Last Sat I bought some whitebait from the market and it was really good- do you folks have whitebait in the US? We like to have it in fritters here.
I have already done the housework during the week so won't worry about it this weekend...I might add though that I am much less fussy than I used to be ...have worked out that ironing means putting wrinkle release stuff in the laundry and leaving it at that.
Will take my kids to the movies. They will probably have some friends over.
We will spend a lot of time trying to toilet train our 9 week old puppy...guess that means that I will be cleaning the carpet a lot
Other than that, I will be content to get outside and enjoy the spring weather in this beautiful place that i call home

Actually Stargazer...I am reluctant to admit this but...I haven't worked out how to put a photo here for you all to enjoy.
So you will just have to take my word for it...he's a very, very handsome black and white Cocker Spaniel called Ozzy.
So far about a 50% success rate but I still seem to spend A LOT of time cleaning the carpet...

That depends on how many days in a row I worked and how many days I have off. If I have just worked a long stretch I usually veg out my first day off. I usually use one or two days to get caught up with things around the house or work on lectures for the classes I teach. If I have more than two days off, I plan a shopping trip and lunch with my daughter or one of my friends. And I try to spend as much time as I possibly can with my daughter's kids. They sometimes feel a little left out since the other grandkids have moved in with us, so I try to give them some special attention.

Hi Rick! Good to see you around.

Laundry, cleaning, errands, grocery shopping, workout at the Y, and if its a weekday and the kids are at school then a nice little nap. If its a weekend, then add nag the kids to do their homework, chores, and practice their instruments. Exciting life, eh? If I get all of the above accomplished, add relax with a good book.
