What are you getting MOM for Mothers Day?

  1. I bought her a yellow climbing rose bush. I'm trying to find a trellis to put it on now. Tell us what you are getting her.

Mine is lucky, she got a card and pictures of her grandkids. As mean as she has been to me thru the years, and neglectful of my kids, she is lucky I did not send a whoopie cushion or something equally tasteless. I am trying "to honor my parents" each day, even tho it is beyond hard to do.

Well, I have to work a 12 on Mother's Day so last weekend I went for a hike with my Mom and our family dog Molly who we got when I was 12. It was very sad because Molly is now 16 and some days she can't get up the stairs and is sometimes incontinent in the house. We're planning to put her down at the end of May , so I took photos of Molly and my Mom with the beautiful view in the background. I put them in a frame for Mother's Day

Mother's Day over here is in August, on the Queen's birthday. Has been that way for many, many years.

Unfortunately, I don't have my mother or grandmother around any more. But I will be thinking of them.

To all of the mothers out there, these are for you...............

My mom is getting a gift certificate from Ulta and a pretty white purse. I got my grandmother a cucumber melon bath gift set and I got all the moms in my family mom, aunt, cousin, grandma, the Mother's Day scratch offs. I hope one of them wins $250,000!!

    Some candles from FTD.com

    Mom loves candles.

I'm late, so I'll have to call her that say and let her know I didn't forget her. Mother's Day is always special. 25 years ago we had a major falling out and I moved out of state with issues unresolved. It was on a mother's day that she called me to patch things up.

I have plans on picking my mother up and taking her to the mountains with me to my oldest daughters home, to spend the day with her great-grandkids, of which she doesnt get to see too often. She is a widow and lives by herself. Unable to drive due to diabetic neuropathy and blind in one eye due to glaucoma...my sisters and I try to take turns in doing things with her... shopping, doctors appts, helping with house work, meals and such. Lord knows nothing I can do will ever make up for the sacrifices my mom made while I was growing up......MOM...I love you!!!

A basket of pear scented (her favorite) bath and body supplies from, of all places, Victoria's Secret. I don't think my Mom has stepped foot in a VS in many years, if ever. We're also taking her to brunch at the local aquarium, which is bringing in a caterer for the day. There's a beautiful view, and I think it will be a nice change of pace from the typical overpriced buffet.

My real mom? Not a **** thing.

My stepmom, some flowers for her flowers bed (probably a GC for these, i know she's still trying to figure out a kind that she LIKES that won't croak when you look at them wrong.)
