What A Nightmare This Week Has Been!!

  1. What could go wrong, went wrong.

My computer got royally messed up to the point that even this website did not recognizing me anymore

In all ignorance, I downloaded the msn toolbar and the msn messenger, (Beta) thinking I would make things easier for me. I could not have been more wrong. You see, my daughter, who's computer account I'm sharing, is from Penn State University, the main campus. That when all hell broke loose!!!

My new software, errorguard, that constantly corrected anything that went wrong, was hijacked by someone at the university, and I'm now in the process of correcting that situation. I was contacted by hotmail about what happened, and learned that the charges to my account have been removed, and my account with the software company has been notified.

On top of that, I am homebound, and need help with my personal care and my housework. Both of my helpers, and one of my helpers children have been sick, and I have had very little help with anything this week.

Then my medication order from my doctor was ordered wrong. Miscommunication by my doctor's nurse. So that is still in the process of being approved by my secondary health insurance coverage. There has been no approval so far.

And then I received a letter from the management concerning my cat, who adopted me when he was a kitten. A former resident got the kitten for her new baby, but when she saw he snuggled up close to the baby, she was afraid that the baby would be smothered. So since where I live is a complex that has a mixture of people in all occupations, including graduate students, and undergrads, she decided it would be safer for him to be put outside where one of the residents would adopt him. It certainlly worked. Since he preferred to be outside, I had a special shelter built for him. It's a large pet carrier, with a tarpaulin on the base to block out any moisture, and on top of that is a four inch foam padding for him to sleep on, and the sides and end are lined with an inch thick foam insulation. So I knew he was safe.

I have had him eight years, and all those years he was allowed to go outside. Last year, when he got majorly constipated due to nowhere to deficate, I sent him to the vet. The vet said, "He's a very healthy cat. He's just very constipated. I would strongly suggest you tell his owner to get a cat pan for him to use in the house. So I did.

Well, since this winter has been milder, he has been outside more. A new resident who (I personally have no idea what motivates her) called the animal control center, which is now investigating. I talked to the manager about it, and he told me he also has cats and has to keep them inside, and he understands my kitty provides me with a lot of companionship. I still have to talk to the people at the animal control center to see if I can persuade them to allow him outside.
Now my brain is fried, my energy has been spent, and anything else that wanted to and tried to go wrong, well, I used all resources, bar none, to get to where I am now.

Dang it's good to be home!

Thank you all, for your wonderful replies. They made me feel better. Unfortunately, when Bethanne arrived this afternoon, my kitty was so sick of being inside, he made a mad dash outside, and disappeared.
