  1. Ooooooo, sore calf muscles!! Funny, all these years on my feet at work and still after not exercising, my calf muscles feel like they are one big ball of knots! lol But it was a great evening for a walk and the Hubby and I got to see a little baby fox calling back to him mommy as she called for him and got to hear the old hoot owl that lives in the swamp by us. It was relaxing and refreshing.

How was your evening yesterday? See anything uplifting? Did you do anything to invigorate and refrsh your heart and soul?? My daughter proclaimed yesterday's breakfast smoothie her favorite so far.....lol she can be so crazy sometimes and yet so infuriating the next.....but it is cool to have someone that wants to eat healthy. She graduates next week and I am trying to plan so I do not totally trash my resolve to eat healthy and exercise.....

A bonus day today...2 smoothies for the price of one....the 2nd one is interesting as it contains soy milk....not bad, kinda grows on you.....Do something to renew and refresh today!

    Exotic Fruit Smoothie

In a blender, combine 1/2 med sized, frozen banana, 1 pinch of ground ginger, 1/4 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt, 1/4 cup papaya, mango or passionfruit nectar and 1 cup of any combo of fresh, ripe papaya, mango, passion fruit or kiwi. Blend until smooth and drink immediately.

    Makes 2-8 oz servings: 96 cal, 2% fat(0.1g saturated), 89%carbs (23g), 9% protein (2.2g) and 1.9g fiber

    Tropical Tango Smoothie

Combine 1/2 cup diced mango, 1/2 cup pineapple chunks, 1cup nonfat(mine was not fat free...could not find it)vanilla soy milk, 1 TBSP honey and 2 ice cubes in a blender. Puree until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and sprinkle with 2 tsp sliced almonds (if desired, toast them first in a small skillet over med heat for 2-3 minutes until golden brown-I ommited the almonds to make up for not having the fat free soy milk)

    312 cal, 5.2g fat, 62g carbs, 5g protein, 3g fiber

Exercised this morning. Recumbent bike is my favorite. The rowing machine is my 2nd favorite. I like to walk but for some reason I hate treadmills. Go figure!

I find tread mills very boring....and that is why I hate them. If I walk, I wanna have a varied scene to look at as I walk. There are decisions and then there are decisions.....and some are fun and some rot. And then there are ones you love to procrastinate on...like deciding on the method of exercise.....lol

The thing about walking is though, when you get tired of walking you have to walk back home----

petiteflower....soooooooo very true but the beautiful surroundings are usually motivation enough to get home, that with the promise of a nice cool drink of refreshing water.
