Good morning! It's gorgeous here - sun out, birds singing and all that stuff.
Got a little energetic yesterday and cleaned windows outside. My arms are talking back to me today, so I guess that must have counted for some work lol. I've been thinking I need to start incorporating more lifting into the routine. First, tho, it's important to establish your habit of cardio work, then consider adding on the weights. Doesn't take much in the way of time or equipment - you've got everything you need in your house right now. I'll look for and post some links tomorrow to specific exercises you can do for resistance training.
Congratulations to those who are plugging along at this and already seeing improvement. Sometimes just knowing you are actively watching out for your health is just the psychological boost you need to feel better.

What's for dinner tonight?
At my home, I'm starting with this:
8 oz uncooked fettuccini
1 c broccoli florets
1 medium sweet red pepper, julienned
1/2 c sliced carrots
1/2 c sliced mushrooms
1/4 c sliced celery
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tblsp olive or canola oil
3/4 c V-8 juice
1/4 c chopped fresh basil (or 1 tblsp dried)
1 c frozen peas, thawed
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tblsp shredded parmesan cheese
Cook fettuccini according to package directions. Meanwhile, in large nonstick skillet, saute the broccoli, red pepper, carrots, mushrooms, celery, and garlic in oil for 3 minutes. Add V-8 juice and basil. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for three minutes. Stir in the peas, salt and pepper, simmer 2 minutes longer or until peas are tender. Drain the fettuccini, ad to vegetable mixture and toss to coat. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

Recipe sounds awesome. Make it whole grain pasta and it'd be awesome. Maybe with some crumbled tofu thrown in.
I went to my yoga class this AM. Now it's off to the beach with the dog!
