Chocolate is about as close to a spiritual experience as I get sometimes.

    Peeps anyone?

Oh how adorable you can buy a peeps shirt - I dont really like eating more than one or two, so buying a package is sort of ridiculous, but those shirts are adorable...

Heh heh.... cute, huh? It reminded me so much of when I was little, and got those hollow chocolate bunnies (or Santas) and I'd bite off the ears first, then fill the chocolate mold with cold milk from the fridge... then bite and sip, bite and sip.... aaaaaaaaaaaaahh... the simple delights of a child.

This child continues to do this to this day.... Yum.

    Um, chocolate!!!

You know what candy I love most from Easter? The home-made chocolate covered peanut butter eggs. Only home-made will do. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make them, and the store-bought ones aren't even close.

Growing up in Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina, churches usually made and sold the eggs as fundraisers. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any in a few years. I did find one half-eaten one at my grandfather's house, but he couldn't remember who had given it to him. *sigh*

If any of you are lucky enough to come across one of these eggs, please relieve my misery and let me know where you found it!!

    Thanks!!!

Me and hubby went and got some chocolate the other day for easter (he is the big chocolate person, I like salty stuff)

I think we got almost two pounds of the stuff and I think he ate almost all of it already...(I guess I ate a little)

But geez, he says it is like an addiction, with the way he is eating it I believe it

Now here's sth. to make you drool, Nekhismom...

those homemade chocolate/peanutbutter eggs you referred to? Every year, several of our patients bring in a box or two of them for the staff. Yes, made by the local church groups as fundraisers, just as you stated.

Of course we're always willing to contribute to a good cause, and as nurses we are always in dire need of CHOCOLATE... the wonderful energybooster !!! So we buy up as many as they bring us !!! Yummy for our tummy !
