Well, I finally took my NCLEX. Need your input as to how I did.

  1. Hello my friends. The day finally got here, and I took my state boards. For the NCLEX/PN The minimum computer shut off number in Ohio is 85 questions, and the maximum is 205 questions. My computer shut off at 85 questions exactly. So, either I did real well, or I sucked big time!!! I need input from all my allnurses buds out there as to how you all think I did. Thanks for all of your support that you've given me throughout these last several months. All of you have truly been a Godsend to me. Let me know how I did guys!! With baited breath, Warrior Woman. :kiss

YOU PASSED! it would have kept going if you didn't pass. The only way to fail when it cuts off at 85 (minimum) is to really really really bomb the test and I have not heard of that every happening. In Alaska, the minimum cut off is 75 questions. I wonder why it is different in Ohio. Oh well, don't worry!

    Warrior woman-

I agree with RN always. I am sure you passed. The computer keeps going until you get to a point where you passed or failed without a doubt. 85 questions is not enough to prove you failed without a doubt unless you bombed it and I am sure you didn't bomb the test.

Let us know when you get the PASSING results!!!

I agree with the above folks.......you passed girl..........
Now to wait the few weeks it takes to get results
can you check online at the BON? My daughter was able to in NM....When she saw her name had a license # after it, she KNEW she had passed.
Aren`t you glad that you aren`t like us oldtimers? I took test first of July, and didn`t find out results until Labor Day....

You surely passed Theresa. That was definately a loooooog wait back in the day. Thought I was going to go crazy from the suspense!

The number of questions administered is never a good indicator of if you passed or not.
I'm pretty sure that if you prepared for the test, you did well. Otherwise it's impossible for us to tell you how we think you did just based on # of questions...

Susy K is correct . The # of questions mean nothing. You probably got so many right, it shut off because you passed right away. Or you missed so many there was no way you could pass and it shut off.

That's the aggravating thing about NCLEX you just don't know! (At least you don't have to wait weeks and weeks on end for a letter in the mail like some of us old timers did).

    Good luck!!!!

If you were pretty confident in your answers, I bet you passed ! at least I hope so..

one of my friends took the NCLEX-PN this summer and she didn't think it was too difficult.

Good Luck and let us know !
