Go to Philiadelphia, walk around Independence square, go to the the Franklin Institute of science museum, and by all means go to the Rodin museum. Go to south Philly and get some Italian food, and go anywhere to get a REAL cheesesteak. Philly can be a great place to visit if you plan a little.
Hershey Park and bring me some candy bars!!! LOL....

I live in Western PA., my husband & I are thinking of taking a short trip for the weekend, any thoughts on where to go????
If it were a little later in the year or Fall, I would say come to the Tioga county area where we have the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, its also close enough to run up to Corning, New York and see the Corning Glass Museum and The Rockwell Museum, also the Soaring museum close to the Elmira Airport.. Its a nice area for a laid back weekend in the mountains of PA. The Canyon is more scenic in the summer or at its height, in the Fall leaf season. Have fun wherever you decide to go.

Hi Ocean Blue,
This is so weird that you posted this message because my husband and I are in Wester PA and are planning a weekend get away in the middle of May when my classes are completed.
Like you, I don't know where to go either. The weather here can go either way this time of year. My friend was married at the end of May last year and it was dark, gloomy, rainy and 50 degrees, but then just last week it was 65 and sunny.
We have been contemplating going to see "Falling Water", driving to Niagara Falls, driving to Frederick, Md to visit a friend and do some antiquing, going to Nemacolin for a spa weekend, hitting a bed and breakfast somewhere but we haven't made any decisions yet.
If you come up with anything interesting, let me know!
