Wednesday, October 10 AKA It's 12 o'clock somewhere

  1. . . . .in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, that is. I'm in Eastern Stardard time and it's about 23:15. I'm heading off to bed for the day. Dh, ds and I just spent the evening couch shopping. This Mama's tired. Ds was miserable all day and I don't know why. MIL is in for a real treat when I go to work on Friday. Oh well, we tried to warn her, but she thinks her DGS is the perfect child. Then she panics when he's not Mr. Pleasant all the time. Hello, don't you listen to a word dh and I say? Mom, you dug your own grave with this one. Anyway, I digress.

Prayers, warm fuzzies, hugs to all who need them. God knows I do too. Here's a pic of ds. He learned to sit up on Sunday night, so we went to the park and he was showing off his new skills. He's so funny .. . .. and he's lucky he's cute. Do you think God made babies cute so we don't wring their necks when they're pains in the butt? I think so.

I had to keep the bink in his mouth so he wouldn't eat the leaves. Poor baby's mama is no fun . . . . .

Here's one of the jellyfish from the zoo too. They're one of ds' favorites.

    Great pictures, NurseyBaby!!

And big hugs, being a Mama is hard work!
I always told new Moms, "Sleep when the baby sleeps!"
Hope you get some rest and re-charging because the kids certainly do and it's all we can do to (kind of) keep up with them!

    Bless you!

    My day is winding down.
    I've done little piddly things.
Just washed some throw rugs and one decided to shed non-skid backing in the washer and dryer.
I need positive reinforcement when I decide to clean, NOT negative!!

Well, I'll go read for a bit, then turn in.

    Y'all have a good day!!

    Howdy! :kiss

Where I live, it is a few minutes after 11 o'clock pm. I am up doing some last minute studying for a lab exam in A&P. Currently, my immediate plans involve taking a bath and shaving my legs as the boombox blares out some music.

Take care and have a pleasant day!

I'm doing okay, Zooz, although I feel as if I am losing motivation for anything related to school. Thanks for asking!

    How's everything going for you!

Hang in there! Motivation comes in waves. (But if you're like me, it's low tide most of the time anyhow. )

I'm fine. Just counting down the days until my Arizona road trip. The weekend can not get here any faster, can it?

Speaking of my upcoming road trip, you all wouldn't be interested in seeing some Grand Canyon pictures taken by yours truly, would you?

No, I didn't think so. I'll just have to keep them all to myself.

Kidding! I'm more than willing to share. Though I warn you, I'm no Ansel Adams.

good, (late afternoon), wednesday from "down under!"

have spent the past couple of days busy here in the house.
aside from the obligatory housework, have been washing walls and painting them. we've completed the hallway and it looks nice and refreshed. no excuse for us not to keep the maintenence up to date. afterall, isn't that what you're supposed to do in retirement??!! :yeahthat::d

australia suffered the loss of one of our soldier's in afghanistan on monday. trooper david pearce, 41, was killed by a roadside bomb. he was the father of two daughter's and had only joined our army as a fulltime member in the past couple of years. he'd been in afghanistan just two weeks when he was killed serving our country.
as the mother of a serving soldier, this hits home hard. my heart aches for his loved ones. nothing will ever convince me that our troops being over in those countires, afghanistan and iraq, is justifiable. nothing! ever!

sorry to vent this here on the gm thread. it just makes me so sad and upset.

i hope everyone enjoy's their wednesday.
    stay safe and well.
