! It's almost my bedtime but I'll give a hearty "Good Morning!" to you and all who follow.
Day's plans?? Work, then home to the 'puter (and allnurses
) and fixing dinner and piddley household chores and . . and . . and . . . guess that's it! It's an "early" day for us, as oldest has choir at 7:15 a.m. I'm back in the Cath Lab at work, after being in the "Stress Lab" (Treadmill Lab, Noninvasive Lab, etc.) for two months. This ol' brain got stretched!!
I think I've relayed my stories of making watches go fast, stopping a clock when I looked at it (really!) and my turning streetlights off when I drive by them (really!). Well, Tuesday at work we readied the "new" lab (newly installed, only been in use for a week) for a cath pt, and got started . . and the Image Intensifier (the fluoro tube above the pt) stopped responding to the raise-and-lower control, and then, after we rebooted the room, the whole C-arm (that the II is mounted on) wouldn't move. Well, we can't do the case if the C-arm won't move, so we packed the pt up and moved back into the "old" lab (which is really only 3 1/2 yr old). Luckily the Biomed worker, who trained in Wisconsin specially for our room, was in the room at the time (it was his suggestion to reboot the room), and he called in the repair crew. Turns out a "board" went out, and if it's not available locally, they'll have to ship one in from France
. I offered to go get it for them, --- it would only take about a week or so
--- but their way, it'll only take two days, so I guess they'll go with that. Hey, I only wanted to be helpful, OK??
So, yeah, I strike again. Let's not have a repeat of that today (Wed)!
I hope everyone has a good day, gets some good news, hears something or has something happen that lifts the spirits.
