  1. Good Morning!!

I'm up because I slept all day. Not feeling well. I have to go back to my apt today so I can go to school and drop out.

My sil is not feeling well and I'm worried. She's supposed to be on bedrest but Friday she was hanging blinds and curtains, unpacking things, etc. Stuff that she should not be doing. If the dr finds this out he will be pissed off. Also, when they did the us on Monday both babies are in the breech position. The previous week one was breech. She needs to kick back and rest. God knows she's not going to get any once these babies are born.

    Have a great day!

If the MD recommended bedrest for your sil, it's not for HIS sake, it's for the safety of your sil and the two babies. Either she doesn't agree with what he's telling her or she doesn't quite understand what her limitations are or she doesn't want to take him seriously. Sometimes we all ignore good advice/direction, for whatever reason, to do what we want. I do hope the babies are OK. Does she have anyone who could come in to help her do these things she feels are so necessary to get done? She could supervise, and not be doing all the physical stuff.

Good luck w/ your preps and tests. . . school will always be there, when you feel better and are ready.

Good morning to all who post! I'm almost ready for bed, see you later!!

Oh, she has plenty of people to do this stuff. My mom, dad and I have offered. Her mom has offered. She wants to do it herself. My brother helps out but she gets upset saying he's not doing it right so she jumps in. This birth is going to be c section and I'd like to see her hang blinds after that surgery. She needs to think about these innocent girls she is carrying. She doesn't take the MD seriously. Just within a month, there is a huge difference in the babies weight. One is at 8lbs the other is at 5lbs. Scary. I'm very worried and wish she would have that c section today to put my mind at ease.

I'm applying to the scrub tech program at the hospital. It lasts a year and then you can take the test. And I love watching surgery. I love looking at the heart and brain. Very interesting. It pays more than a CNA but not as much as a nurse. The average in this state is around $16. I'll only be able to do it if I defer the last surgery, which isn't a big deal. I can handle having a colostomy a bit longer if it means actually graduating from something. If I find that I can support myself on a scrub tech's salary, I'll stick with that for a while and then gradually take nursing classes again. I've learned that working full time and going to school full time equals me being sick. I think that's what happened. I felt great up until Jan when I started school.

Since I'm dropping out, I'll have to start repaying my loans immediately. Just one more bill I have to worry about.

    GOOD MORNING, LITTLE PEEPS!!

I'm at work again & I'm in a really vile mood tonite!! Woke up that way; the mood carried over to here when I got here & found completely different pt's then last nite; also, 1st up for admission & tonite is the nite we have to count pyxis meds.

Gosh!! I really am in a bad mood!! Everything is bothering me!!
    Oh well!!

    Beth,
So sorry to hear that SIL not following Dr's Orders!! It would really be best if she would; but, I guess there is not much that can be done about it. You can only say so much!! Do you know when she's going to have the C-Section?

I hope your prep goes well for you!! Good Luck with the procedures!!
Maybe the scrub tech thing would be a good idea.
    I know that MANY years ago when I was a Nurse Manager, I started to have a LOT of GI problems; once I resigned that job & cut my stress level, I had no more problems---MD said I was headed for ulcerative colitis;
Oh, every now & then, when I get VERY stressed, I have vague problems, but if I make a concerted effort to chill, everything is better.

I hope you have a good day----you really need to get some sleep now.

Dianah--you get some good Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's too.

I have nothing really planned for the day; I work again on Wed. nite, so I guess I have to rest.

To all those yet to come; Have a great Wednesday!!

I could use some prayers, too. I was on my way to see my pt and had to turn around. Car was listing to the side and it had a grinding noise coming to a stop. Probably breaks and I didn't feel it was safe doing a 60 mile round trip with it that way. But I've got all of $70 in the bank. I'm hoping they'll take a post dated check. Friday is payday.
Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful God blessed day. I stand by my signature.

Just got back. They'll not do the work till tomorrow. Then, if I pay by check, it won't go through till Friday. So no work for 2 days. Ack! I'll try to think of it as a mini vacation....I'll try. There are so many others of you that have worse problems/trials than I have. You're in my prayers.:icon_hug:

Mary Ann, I hope work wasn't too crazy for you, on top of your mood! Hope you have a good rest of the day and sleep this afternoon!

Siri, prayers going out for your mil and dh, I'm so sorry she's not well.

Marilyn, yes the siggy says it all . . . one day at a time.

Hello to the rest of you! It rained last night (how nice!) and is still cloudy and threatening this morning, although I don't expect too much more rain from this front.

    . . . and I'm off to work, Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho!!
