It's a hair past 5:30 here, dh has just trooped for another day at the salt mines, and the house is super quiet--dogs, cats and sister all still asleep.
Good news from here--the hospice I have been helping to set up and will direct, is 99% likely to open March 1st (I've been footloose and fancy free--well, almost!--since 12/29). Yea!!!!
jmgrn65, nice to "meet" you! My aunt and uncle have just moved back to Ohio--living in a meadow near the town of Ray (not sure where it is). Bet they are missing Texas sunshine today! Stay safe on those roads, hon.
spadequeen, I thought today was your day! Good luck, best wishes, we want pictures!
jnette, you are in my thoughts as always--let us know you are OK and taking care of yourself....
Hey, tweety! How's it going?
Bethin--what a lovely way to start the day.
And Grace, hello down under from us up over! (I think that's where we are... isn't it?) I have discovered sudoku and the very best site I have found (and I've been snooping quite a lot with all this free time) is a terrific one ending in dot-a-u. I'm assuming that's Australia--terrific!
walkingrock, loved the pictures yesterday--what a lot of work to load those up for us! Thank you....
Well, I joined another gym with wonderful intentions, got the flu right after and temporarily lost my momentum. (Can't read that word without remembering a transcriptionist I knew in my twenties who typed a surgical report that part of the patient's momentum had been excised; and with a straight face too!) So I might get my behind in gear and visit again today.
Bought a car in December (old car, new to me) only to discover when I went to tag it early this month that there were 70000 more miles on the title than on the odometer. Hmmmm..... :uhoh21: Seller claims to know nothing, blah, blah, blah. Gotta love Texas--lots of rules and regs on what to do if you are defrauded. Hopefully, the statute of limitations isn't as little as 2 months....
Let's see, what else. (Been so long since I've had the luxury of writing in the daily blog....) DD got married September 1st, SIL is wonderful (and a truly patient soul!), ships out to Navy basic on March 7th. They were down here a couple of weekends ago, we all had a blast. Hopefully they'll be down again before he leaves. They are trying to start a family but so far no go. (But it hasn't been long, either.)
I have another grandchild, a lovely little GD (?) named Sarah--just got some pictures of Sarah and her big brother Ben (age 3) recently from my mother (I am persona non grata with the DS and DIL, long boring story that probably wouldn't match theirs, so...). Both kids look a lot like my family--okay, me.
Just bought a scanner printer copier faxer and got it installed yesterday--I'll see about posting some of the pictures later on.
Teakettle is singing, off to make coffee.
Have a lovely, terrific, sensational day, everybody!!!! We're expecting another gorgeous day in the 70's here in north central Texas.
