    Hi to all!
Nursemary, I hope you're having a great night and your shift ends before you know it. Thanks for starting the thread.
Since I'm off of work, I'm getting the meals prepared for the next couple of days. Putting together some taco fixings, wild rice hotdish and some spaghetti. Hope everyone is drooling cause it's smelling awful good in here. Today is the real Columbus day. I don't think any nurses are getting holiday pay. Shoulda worked for a bank or the government if I cared about that.
Siri-f/u to your age reponse the other day. Thanks for the info. I just didn't notice this as part of our posting before. It's fine for me to have my age posted. Besides, I'm still 29 even though my body's 41. :hatparty: Hope it's not all downhill from here.LOL

    Hi everyone!

Mary Ann - Good to hear your leg ulcers are all healed! I hope the rest of your night goes well. Thanks for the yummy breakfast!

shelly - Enjoy your day off! I worked on Columbus Day (Mon.) and got holiday pay and time and a half for working ..... guess that's one good thing about working for the government lol. Those meals sound yummy ... and that's a good idea to prepare ahead of time for the days you have to work.

I see lots of changes around the site ..... looks good!

Enjoyed my day off today ... went and saw Wallace and Gromit, funny movie! Not sure what's on tap for tomorrow. We've sure been having some great weather ...... in the low 80s, sunny and clear, it's been perfect!

I hope yall have a great Wednesday!!

    Good Morning!

Thanks for the coffee Mary Ann, congrats on the 35 years. I sometimes find it hard to believe I've stuck it out here for 13 years. Time flies.

Off to work here myself. Our census has been a little low hospital wide this week, which is good, don't want JACHO to see us at our worst. I'm truly hoping when they come by today they pick someone else's patient.

I hope everyone has a nice day!

Good luck with the survey tweety. Our hospital has opted out of JACHO. Did you know that the hospital pays nearly $3,000 to each surveyor for the priviledge of being inspected. Of course, Now the dept of health has taken over our surveys and they can be brutal.

    Mornin' y'all.

I'm wide awake.... I think! :chuckle

Just got to follow a patient through OR today. Nothin' fancy. I can even come home and sleep some more if I wish Got a LOT of things done yesterday, so I can give myself that priviledge today

Good morning everyone! I wish you all nothing but the best of days.

As for me, I will be sleeping. Finally starting back on the noc shift!!! :hatparty: Had that wonderful week of orientation last week and am finally getting back into it all. Being off a whole month was a lot to handle. How will I ever handle retirement (even though that is many years away for me)?????

I refilled the coffee pot. Took that last cup!

    Morning All,

Was in to test the chatroom this morning but it was empty. Maybe we can get together some time and do the live chat thing.

Nothing much here today. It's been over a week and I still have not see the sun (how depressing) nothing but cold rain our way. I finally gave in and turned on the heater to sleep comfortably last night. LOL!

I am feeling a bit better from my cold. Just my head is bothering me and I feel like I took a blow to the head.

No school tonight, so I need to get back to work and find creative ways to burn up my time.

    Catch you all later,

    Have a good day!

    Good morning, everyone.

Mary Ann, congratulations on 35 years. I can't seem to stay in one place longer than 2 years. I've been at this place 1 and 1/2 years and am thinking of sending out resumes.

Shelly, Tacos, yum. But not at 0800.

Tweety, have a good day at work. A couple of months JCHAO was in our hospital and our ED was so busy we told them they had to leave because they kept getting in the way. They wandered off to some other area. We're now known as the ED that scared JCHAO away.

Roy, enjoy the rest. I know these opportunities are few and far between.

Stidget, I'm glad you enjoy being back. Honestly, I could easily find things to do if I didn't work. Unfortunately they all cost money, so I'd need to work. Then I wouldn't have time because of the crazy scheduling.

Jess, Hopefully the sun will be coming out for you soon. I'll check on the chat room throughout the day, though I only got about 3 hours sleep, so I'll probably end up taking a nap.

My third day off in a row. DD has settled down. She usually does. I swear it's PMS. Puppy is still messing in the house. I guess I just have to keep working on it and wait it out.

cyberkat-0800 is my supper time. I'm actually making stuff ahead of time for lunch and family suppers so I can sleep in the evenings.

    Hola -

    Here at work again!

8 patients, 2 RN's and 1 CNA. I leave at 8 a.m. to do an induction - we just sent another OB home thank goodness - I don't want to do two at the same time.

I'm honestly tired of working - I've worked more than my usual part-time due to nurse's out sick. Today and tomorrow and then I'm off for 5 days - I haven't even had time to pay bills or clean up the house - my dd cleaned up yesterday for me.

I'm hungry - tacos sound good to me and it is 6 a.m.
