Mike Webster, "Iron Mike," is dead at the age of 50. Pittsburgh's famous All-Pro center, started with the Steelers in 1974 and was the last of the 22 Steelers who won the 4 Superbowls to leave the team. He is also the first to die. Mike once played six straight seasons without missing a game. He played with concussions and broken bones. He never stopped. Chuck Noll said "center" was the one position he never had to worry about. Sadly, he had problems at the end of his life...doctors say from brain damage from too many shots to the head.
Pittsburgh remembers, and Pittsburgh mourns. He was one of the great ones!
