WARNING: Do NOT

  1. overload the top rack of the dishwasher with stuff that can go on the bottom and leave the bottom rack empty.

AND, when I grouch about it do NOT get all huffy and act like you don't know how to do it. I know for a fact you have been doing it for 25 years, your mother told me it was your job from the first day they got a dishwasher when you were 13.

This brought to you by a woman who spent the last 1/2 hour loading the dishwasher on her hands an knees (nobody home) because I can't bend over.

If you hear an explosion it is my brain.

I'd like to add to that, that a clothes hamper is not an object to put your dirty clothes around. Lift the lid and put them inside.

Ya want the address? If nothing else we can recover from surgery together (I have Dryers Peach ice cream).

Seriously, at least one person on this board has met him and and can tell you he really is a sweet guy and he is. In the almost 3 months I have been laid up he has been his usual sensitive, attentive to my needs self, to the point of spoiling. The ONLY thing he has neglected is the house work (and cooking from scratch).
I am pretty sure I am stir crazy and know I am in the mood to gripe. Except for 2 days at the beach last week I have been out of the house for a total of maybe 20 hours since 4/23.

My 24yo daughter is currently unemployed, I think I will spend his ammo and range allowence on paying her to clean my house

Sounds yummy...I'm there! (it would be a break from kids too! LOL!) It's great that he is taking care of you but doesn't he see that some of the taking care of you is making sure you don't worry about things? ie. the housework!? Sounds like a great idea for you to have your daughter come clean and pay her with his money. Seriously! Maybe he'll get the idea and start cleaning in leiu of losing his allowance! LOL! I'd love to come help you but you are too far away........

(If it makes you feel any better, my dh left this morning and I am going up and down stairs trying to carry loads of laundry! what we women do!)

What surgery did you have done?

Sweet and caring does not = dishwasher savvy!

Some of the things my sweet and caring hubby does, makes one wonder! Pour on the guilt trip when he gets home! (Maybe) He'll never do it again?
I hope you heal quickly. Take Care! Audrey

What surgery did you have done?
Spinal fusion, or rather a revision & extension of an old (broken) fusion.
The whole sordid tale (at least what I have said publicly) can be found here:
    http://allnurses.com/forums/showpost...2&postcount=12

What did you have done (if you don't mind my asking)?
I only know you had surgery (I'm probably the last to know, I'm not terribly observant) because of a post in the CRNA forum about patients being aware while under.

My Aunt had spinal fusion years ago and I remember how difficult the recovery was. I feel for you!

I had a laproscopy/hysteroscopy/D&C done. I have had abdominal/pelvic pain for months and they have done every test they could think of (bloodwork, sigmoidoscopy, fecal tests, CT Scan, Ultrasound) and they can't find any reason for it. This surgery was pretty much the last resort and unless the hysteroscopy results show something, they still don't have an answer for me. I don't know what, if anything, they will do next!

I'm gonna go read your other thread about your surgery later...I'm supposed to be working on an essay! LOL! shhhhhhhhh....don't tell.

Amazingly, my dh rarely does anything that annoys me. My neighbors, on the other hand, are another story-

Please put all of your household garbage in a BAG, and actually put the garbage INSIDE of the dumpster. This is the 21st century. Garbage men will not get out of the truck and pick up the stuff you leave AROUND the dumpster. REMEMBER, put your stuff INSIDE of it. If you do not put your trash in a bag, it will, and does, fall all over the alley when the truck tips the dumpster.

If you are an idiot and do all of these things anyway, do not worry- your neighbors will clean up the entire alley for you- over and over again.

Ouch! and you are lugging laundry around 2 days later? That is way to much work, I don't care how good you are feeling.

I had a TAH 8 years ago following >15 years of abnormal paps (poss. DES exposure), DUB & pain. It turned out the DUB & pain were related to myometreosis (basicly endometreosis with the uterine wall).
