Trying to stop this thing now would be like shoveling sh** against the tide. GWB wants this war so bad he can taste it, and all this "diplomacy" has been nothing but posturing. God help us all.

I am 100% against war in Iraq but I guess it is inevitable. Like you said, G-d help us all.

I am cynical about the motivations for this war. But as it looks inevitable right now, I hope it goes quickly and with a minimum of suffering for those involved. If the "shock and awe" plan doesn't bring about the swift resolution that the administration believes it will, its going to be even more ugly. Very very ugly.

Innocent people are going to die. I know I am tired of trying to solve all the worlds problems with our American tax dollars.. Now go ahead and flame me.

Agree. And the increased terrorism for years to come. by nations who may have hesitated up to this point.

But for the sake of ALL involved, let us be kind to one another. There is surely enough ugliness in the world today.. let us resolve to be at peace with each other, regardless of differences. Peace begins with you and me. We need each other. :kiss

Renerian, no flames here. I heard of an elderly man found lying on the steps of a local hospital here.. dead. He had been watering down his insulin because he could not affor to buy it, along with his other medications and food. I'd bet he was a veteran, too.

So much that could be accomplished here at home with the war money.. including strengthening our own security in realistic ways. Ah well.

Let's hold onto each other in love and respect. And pray the decisions made were the right ones in the end... time will tell.

Jnette that is really sad about the man and his insulin. I know the VAs give their insulin to vets at no charge. At least in Columbus they do. Your right. I have seen vets get slow medical care. So many people seeking the care and not enough professionals to provide it.
