Various new homeowner ramblings....

  1. Who new this would be so much fun?

Now that the stress of everything is past, I'm quite enjoying myself! Tonight we're gonna hang a new door in the bathroom. And then it's on to painting! Think we're doing the floor and toilet this weekend.

Helped hubby insulate the attic last night. We did the blown stuff. Too fun, and we made such a mess! But I felt mighty homeowner powerful lifting those bales of insulation into the big loud blower. Even have myself some goggles and a mask.

Seriously, the house is comfortable to me at 66, vs. the 70-72 we usually keep it at. There was almost nothing up there.

(or, perhaps, it's all in my head)

    Sooooo, that's all for now.

Have fun with your bathroom remodeling. My hubby and I just put tile on our bathroom floor this past weekend. It wasn't a bad project at all. We are going to do the other bathroom next weekend. Being a homeowner is awesome. We just bought our first house in May.

    BINGO!!!! ATTIC INSULATION!!!!!!!

That's why I can't keep my house warm! I was told by the roofers last year I desperately needed some.

Why didn't you tell me this earlier Heather?

Actually, for us the first year SUCKED. Major expenses, dirt yard, no driveway, etc.
Now, after 3 years this May, have some grass, a tree, and a cobblestone patio. Oh, and a driveway.

Oh, and for those of you who don't know what a driveway is (looks at Nurs4kids) it's a concrete approach leading to your garage.
