    after sitting untreated for three hours in an er waiting room complaining of chest pains, a 33-year old patient walked outside, collapsed face down on the pavement and died within minutes at olive view-ucla medical center in sylmar, ca. the incident is being investigated by california regulators.

    They certainly shuld have given him an EKG. We do so with out several-times-a-day chest painers that come in by ambulance every time. It's a PIA but a sure thing that the one time you don't do it they will be having a massive MI.

    Interestingly his GF speaks of a HO drug abuse. Shouldn't have changed his care, but it's something he has in common with the woman who died in California.

    Chest pain in a young man does make you think drugs. Which can cause a heart attack. We have a lot of meth here.
