Unprecedented?

  1. Today on the news, Baghdad put poison in the Euphrates river. Saddam also said by night time, he will do something so unprecedeted in the history of war........

    I'm scared.

please stop watching CNN , for the love of everyone ,and most importantly your sanity , the reporting of the events in Iraq is getting absurd
this man has been threatening the world for ages now .....
of course he is going to say that he's gonna strike back.....
    does this surprise anyone??!?

Is he going to raise from the dead? That would definitely be unprecedented.

His regime is capable of numerous atrocities. They are also capable of outlandish propaganda.

I really believe he either incapacitated or dead. Unfortunately, that won't stop what's left of his followers. At this point they are desperate, and I hope we can get them before they get us.

He is running scared now so will be voicing alot of threats. We just have to be prepared for anything but that has been true since 9/11.

    Shygirl,

For one, I agree with Wendy. Stop watching the news for a while. If you must stay informed I've found that reading headlines from newspapers or the web is enough for me - enough to get a "sense" of what's going on without all the dramatics (usually). Seriously, I haven't watched the news for a looong time. In fact I didn't even read headlines for about a week. Now I'm slowing just reading headlines and lurking around here to get some reports. It has helped.

Secondly: take comfort, at least a little bit, that our military is the strongest and most intelligent in the world. We went into this war knowing what Saddam is capable of (hence - one of the reasons we are there) and are as prepared as any military can be. Take comfort in our strength.

    Hope that helps. :kiss

Thanks you guys. I think I will take your advise and just stop watching! You probably won't believe this, but we have CNN on non-stop ! We do not even watch any other shows. I have to stop. I am having nightmares too!

    Thanks, Shygirl

Yes. Remember the talking heads have to talk about the same thing 24/7/365 AND stay on top of the ratings. Stop watching.

We'll believe anything as long as it's exciting. Let's let it play out.
