Tulips in the Spring, can you help

  1. A wonderful nurse, co-worker sent me tulips for Valentines Day, they look like they are dying. Can someone tell me, how, when, to plant them in the ground?

Also want to add, that it is so difficult to start over, meaning that, I had to change my user name, for identity purposes, and it's hard to get on board, I'm not new, but feel new, make sense?

    Anyhow, good to be back.

I believ if you take the bulbs and let them dry out a week or so, then place them in a paper bag and store them in a cool, dark area until the fall, they should be fine. Then set them in the ground around October... depending on what area of the country you live in. Good luck !

    thanks, jnette. I'll try it.

I'll let everyone know when it works. As far as my tulips in the ground, they are about 2 inches above ground, soon I will have more blooming.
But I did not put them there, previous owners did.
