  1. Good morning!

If you didn't read my last post in yesterday's thread, my SIL is having two girls. Feel they need to stockpile the valium NOW.

Planning on working out today and maybe start boxing things up that I don't use. I have alot of books that need boxed. Applying to some hospitals and hoping to get a call back.

Still haven't heard from my friend who left for Texas over the weekend. Her husband is home from Iraq and she went down there unexpectadly. Hope she's ok - probably getting friendly with her husband.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

    GOOD MORNING. PEEPS!!!

Well, my best friends, this is one of the WORST Nites I can remember!!:angryfire
The unit moved on Monday & it is so Freaking COFUSING here!!:angryfire :angryfire

This is such a tiny floor & to be honest, it is FILTHY!! :angryfire I will refuse to bring any food to this kitchen, cause it looks like it should be CONDEMNED!!

This floor has been sitting empty for a couple of years & about the only thing they cleaned was the floor. The desk tops & drawer fronts are icky & marked up---fingerprints, etc. There are stickers that are only half on & half off. Probably couldn't get the stickies off, so they just left them. I think alcohol will get them off. You would think that SOMEONE would have been here ahead of us & cleaned it.:angryfire :angryfire

After all, this is a Hospital!!! NO????YES????

As I said yesterday, our floor of 18 pt's had 14 pvt rooms; this floor only has 2!!! Our pt's need pvt's cause we get so many isolations & have all the chemos & neutropenic pt's. So, I suppose we will have a lot of blocked beds!! Then, since we will have fewer pt's they will float our staff!!I can se the writing on the wall!!

    GEEZ!!! Do I sound like a FIRST-CLASS B----!!!!

I'll stop for now!! I did need to VENT & I Thank YOu all for Listening!! I also apologize!!

Nothing special planned for Tuesday. I am off Tuesday nite, so I will start my cleaning. mom coming for 4 days. I work Wed. Nite, but then off for 4 nites. I will need it after tonite. BELIEVE ME!!

We have all ready had 2 admissions. I'm up for the next one--also, I'm Charge.

DH is golfing today--supposed to be 50 on Tuesday, so not bad.

Well, got to run. I have all the Chemo pt's & all 3 have labs to be drawn---from Central lines.

Beth, thanks for starting the thread!!
I know you will hear from your friend soon. I know you are anxious & a bit worried.
Wow!! SIL having 2 girls---I need to go back & read the end of yesterdays thread.

To all yet to come--Have a great day!!!

    here's some coffee

Good morning Bethin, Mary Ann and Julie and all who follow. Working today so gotta get a move on. I hope everyone has a beautiful God blessed day.

Hi Bethin, you sound a bit more positive today and that's good to see.

Mary Ann, always feel free to vent. Sounds like a pain. We had to pack a move a couple of times too, only we were put on the float team during the duration of the cleaning. I actually liked it because I didn't have to do charge.

Have a great day JMG and Marylin!

I'm going to take my car to the shop this morning when they open at 7:30 which hopefully will get it done in one day. Some stuff wrong with the axels, or something or another that is going to cost me $800.00, plus 4 new tires, plus some transmission maintenance. Cha-ching$$$$

Good morning Bethin, Mary Ann, Julie, Marilyn, and Tweety ...... I hope you all have a great day.

I miss you guys, it seems like I haven't caught up with everyone in here in forever. Lots of things going on in my life. I actually came on here to type out a journal entry but I can't seem to find the journals .... searched around and see that they're not back up yet since all the remodeling of the site.

You know when life throws you a curveball ..... just seems all chaotic at first and then when the aftermath settles, it starts to clear up ..... and then it looks like it might end up being better in the end anyway? If that even makes any sense. Anyway, I had a big pregnancy scare ..... sheesh, that'll throw you for a loop. Seriously shook up my life and really made me re-evaluate A LOT of things. Lots of emotions going through me right now. But I've realized I need to change a lot of things in my life. As much as I'd love to have kids, I realized if it were to happen right now that it just wouldn't be right ..... I need to change so many things. Might as well take this as a lesson, huh? Such a confusing time.

Gotta get back into the Healthy Living thread ...... might as well start there. I need to feel better about myself, about my life.

Hope you all have a great day

    Good Morning all!
Gosh! Haven't been here in forever!
Lots of changes going on in everyones life it seems....
Some good, some not so good....

My Mom is moving in today, so there's a big one for me, I just got over a yukky tummy bug, and 12 y/o had it yesterday. Waiting to see who it hits next. Weather is getting colder and finals are on their way, but, I guess I'll survive.
The situation with Mom wasn't a pretty one, not cause of her but more so due to selfish family members who feel they "want their share" now. My brother is no help, so it's all on me. Glad I have the support of my husband, and even more so, the Lord.

Gotta run! Community clinical in a school system today, then 3.5 hrs to get Mom, and 3.5 hrs back, with some errands in between....
    L-O-N-G day!

Wish everyone happiness and wishes today! Bless you all!

Julielpn, prayers for you and your situation. Have a safe trip.

Study day, of course! Test 4 is tomorrow!! (Test 5 in 2 weeks, final in 3!)

Coffee is perking. Whycome we don't have a coffee cup smilie. I mean seriously. We run on the stuff.

    Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone's turkey day plans are going well.

Marc is off (in uniform he knows how to score points with me by wearing that uniform) to write an exam. History of military law. He's been citing the Geneva convention all over the place lately . Hope he does well, hope it encourages him to earn a degree.

I went to a great workshop yesterday. Really gave my brain a good workout. I've been reading all the NICU policies for the place that I hope to work for and really needed some background on the pathophys to understand what they were all about. Some guy from Utah with a NYC accent. Very entertaining. I was sitting next to a midwife who was really cool. Was helping me understand the jargon.
