  1. Not sure if this means I am wishing for riches or if my mind just wandered ... Let's see if you don't have this song in your head all day long ...

    IF I WERE A RICH MAN - Lyrics

    IF I WERE A RICH MAN,

    DAIDLE, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DIGGUH,

    DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DUM.

    ALL DAY LONG I`D BIDDY, BIDDY BUM,

    IF I WERE A WEALTHY MAN.

    WOULDN`T HAVE TO WORK HARD,

    DAIDLE, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DIGGUH,

    DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DUM.

    IF I WERE A BIDDY, BIDDY RICH,

    DIGGUH, DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE MAN.

    I`D BUILD A BIG TALL HOUSE WITH ROOMS BY THE DOZEN,

    RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOWN;

    A FINE TIN ROOF WITH REAL WOODEN FLOORS BELOW.

    THERE COULD BE ONE LONG STAIR CASE JUST GOING UP

    AND ONE EVEN LONGER COMING DOWN;

    AND ONE MORE LEADING NOWHERE JUST FOR SHOW.

    I`D FILL MY YARD WITH CHICKS AND TURKEYS

    AND GEESE AND DUCKS

    FOR THE TOWN TO SEE AND HEAR;

    SQUAWKING JUST AS NOISILY AS THEY CAN.

    AND EACH LOUD QUACK AND CLUCK AND GOBBLE AND HONK

    WILL LAND LIKE A TRUMPET ON THE EAR;

    AS IF TO SAY HERE LIVES A WEALTHY MAN.

    IF I WERE A RICH MAN,

    DAIDLE, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DIGGUH,

    DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DUM.

    ALL DAY LONG I`D BIDDY, BIDDY BUM,

    IF I WERE A WEALTHY MAN.

    WOULDN`T HAVE TO WORK HARD,

    DAIDLE, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DIGGUH,

    DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DUM.

    IF I WERE A BIDDY, BIDDY RICH,

    DIGGUH, DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE MAN.

    I SEE MY WIFE GOLDE LOOKING LIKE A RICH MAN`S WIFE

    WITH A PROPER DOUBLE CHIN;

    SUPERVISING MEALS TO HER HEART`S DELIGHT.

    I SEE HER PUTTING ON AIRS

    AND STRUTTING LIKE A PEACOCK

    OY! WHAT A HAPPY MOOD SHE`S IN.

    SCREAMING AT THE SERVANTS DAY AND NIGHT.

    THE MOST IMPORTANT MEN IN TOWN WILL COME TO FAWN ON ME;

    THEY WILL ASK ME TO ADVISE THEM,

    LIKE SOLOMAN THE WISE,

    `IF YOU PLEASE, REB TEVYE, PARDON ME, REB TEVYE.`

    POSING PROBLEMS THAT WOULD CROSS A RABBI`S EYES.

    BOI, BOI, BOI, BOI, BOI, BOI, BOI, BOI, BOI.

    AND IT WON`T MAKE ONE BIT OF DIFF`RENCE

    IF I ANSWER RIGHT OR WRONG?

    WHEN YOU`RE RICH, THEY THINK YOU REALLY KNOW.

    IF I WERE RICH, I`D HAVE THE TIME THAT I LACK,

    TO SIT IN A SYNAGOGUE AND PRAY;

    AND MAYBE HAVE A SEAT BY THE EASTERN WALL.

    AND I`D DISCUSS THE HOLY BOOKS WITH THE LEARNED MEN SEVEN HOURS EV`RY DAY;

    THIS WOULD BE THE SWEETEST THING OF ALL.

    IF I WERE A RICH MAN,

    DAIDLE, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DIGGUH,

    DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DUM.

    ALL DAY LONG I`D BIDDY, BIDDY BUM,

    IF I WERE A WEALTHY MAN.

    WOULDN`T HAVE TO WORK HARD,

    DAIDLE, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DIGGUH,

    DIGGUH, DEEDLE, DAIDLE, DUM.

    LORD, WHO MADE THE LION AND THE LAMB,

    YOU DECREED I SHOULD BE WHAT I AM;

    WOULD IT SPOIL SOME VAST ETERNAL PLAN,

    IF I WERE A WEALTHY MAN?

    Good morning! :kiss

    I really need to get to bed soon, as I have classes tomorrow morning at my local community college. It's the first day of the summer sessions, so I hope my GPA remains pretty good.

    Take care and have a great Tuesday!

    It's still Monday here in Kansas, but I'll come in here and say have a good day everyone. I'm planning on getting husband up at 0530 to go to work and then I'll go back to sleep. Hoping all the kids will sleep in. Have a great Tuesday.

    Good Evening - still a long way from Tuesday.

    Just got back from taking the service truck over to my dh's job - those snow mosquitos are still out over there - they just swarmed us.

    Having a bowl of cereal and then tossing the kiddo in a bath and then bed.

    You all have a good evening and see on Tuesday!

    You work very hard, it sounds like! Are these the concentrated classes you were talking about before? I took a few summer sessions before - you sure do cram a lot of work into a short period of time! During one of my 3 week classes, my son, then 4, got a good case of the chicken pox, so I missed a whole week out of 3!! NOT good - but I was able to make up for it and Aced it - it was a subject I really liked so that helped

    Is he the one that keeps resetting the alarm, or was that someone else's hubby?

    Hi Steph, what are snow mosquitos?

    I had the choice of two pix (my son and I at his going-away dinner before he left for boot camp). I could post the photo which was more flattering to him, or the one more flattering to me. Well, since it's "all about him", I thought I'd be generous and trust that you wouldn't laugh at me ... (truthfully, neither picture was very good but oh well... lol)

    Kitty pix.

    In this one, I really am smiling, HONEST! Again, not too flattering. I truly am gorgeous in real life! (If you look closely, all 3 kitties are sleeping on me! They belong to my bff ... )

    Actually, my condensed nutrition class started on May 11 and ended on May 25. I attended this class 4 hours every evening, so I completed a 3 credit hour class in only 2 weeks. I checked my unofficial transcript early this morning, and was pleased to see that I earned an 'A' grade for this class. If I had the opportunity to take another condensed mini-mester class, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

    a different view from my walking trail...

    Another benefit of being oot and aboot ...
